  1. Today's been a long day, but a good day. We set up the dance, participated in it, and took it down all today. Everyone had a great time. My date and I were the last couple dancing on the floor.

In other news, I learned that our production of Almost, Maine from last year was recorded by the city network and put on Youtube.

In it you will find, in order of appearance: My date (Scene 2: Her Heat), the first girl I kissed (Scene 6: They Fell), Me (Scene 7: Where it Went), and my date for Homecoming a while back (Scene 8: Story of Hope).

It's strange watching it. Almost half of the people in the show are graduated, and two of the girls are engaged.

  2. Just got back from a group date with my date for Masquerade. It is to replace the traditional day date normally done on the day of the dance, but before it. However, since half of us will be spending all day tomorrow setting up the dance, we moved the date back.

It was very fun: We went to a boy scout camp to walk along a haunted trail they set up. My friends were amused when I casually spoke/joked with the people after/as they did their routines.
    For example:
Lunatic in straitjacket: "No! NOOOO!! I don't wanna be a platypus! I don't WANT to be a platypus! I DON'T WANT TO BE A PLATYPUS! I want to be a unicorn!"
Me: "Believe in yourself, and you will achieve your goals!"
    "Fred knows you!"
"Fred! I know him! He's a swell guy."
    "George does, too!"
    "Isn't George dead?"
    "Fred killed him!"
    "Wasn't it the evil wizards?"
    "No, it was Fred!"

We even met a guy that we knew from school, working on the trail in a mask. I was a bit off put when he referred to me by name as we were walking away from him, but then we found out who he was and had a short conversation, then moved on.
Afterwards, we had ice cream. All was well. I am happy.

  3. Hi. I've been here long enough to see you sometimes, but haven't done much with you. You probably don't know me very well. In that case:

ATTEND THE TALE OF MERSOPOLIS - A THESPIAN WHO GOT HIS FIRST KISS - I HAVE A LIFE AND IT'S GOING WELL - THOUGH OTHER THAN THAT THERE'S NOT MUCH TO TELL - HIS LIFE MAY BE QUITE FAR FROM BLISS - YES, MERSOPOLIS - THE ALMOST ORD'NARY ACTOR

  4. WELL THEN!

I asked her out. I decided to save the flowers for the actual date night and get her a bag of gumballs instead. She loved the poster. Everybody who saw it loved it.

HOWEVER, someone asked her out first, so she denied my invitation saying that she would have accepted it if she hadn't already been asked out. HOWEVER, she promised to ask me out for the next dance: Masquerade, a girls' choice dance (She was counting on going with me to this one, anyway), and paired me up with another one of our friends, whom I also had my eye on, for Homecoming. Girl1 went with me to ask her, and even helped me make the same invitation to her. She said yes, thankfully. (Although, she didn't take the poster.) We had classes to get to, so we weren't able to discuss details. That'll be tomorrow.

I'm still happy and feeling good.

Girl 1 finally got around to asking me to Masquerade. It was a simple invitation, she left a large tub of movie theater popcorn at my house with the message, "Now that I've BUTTERED you up, I'll POP the question: Will you go to Masquerade with me?". I never actually saw her, my brother brought it to me in my room.
Of course, I'm accepting it. But now I wonder if I should give her a gift with my response. We recently bought a small box of fortune cookies that have given me ideas...

But thinking about the actual dance: It's on Halloween and the theme is "The Walking Dead." Any brilliant ideas, subSPUF? I don't have any costumes on hand except one: The jedi cloak and pseudo-robe I wore last year.
