Oh, Project M itself is great, I never said it was bad. It's the reason why it was made is what I don't like. They tried to make it a Melee clone, instead of fixing the problems Brawl had as well as improving upon Brawl's features that made the game fun.

They'll not adopt it. This the Smash Bros comp community we're talking about here, they'll just make it as close to Melee as they can, possibly making a community mod like Project M like they did for Brawl. And I wouldn't give two fucks.

A good bug-fix update. Plus bread to feed the hype train. Though they fixed taunt-sliding, NNNNNOOOO!!!! That was my favorite thing to do while wasting in setup or custom mods like slenderfortress. At least Valve was kind enough to make it a convar. Let's just hope my favorite servers have it enabled. It also looks like I'm going to have to update my EVE HUD, dammit. As for the EE rebalance, never really used it, this won't change much. Though I think ninjaneer got a whole new interesting twist. Downsides seem to harsh, I'd either lower it to -25% for both or at least get rid of the repair rate reduction entirely.
  6. Apparently Valve updated the Early Access FAQ....... Basically Valve just took the "Fuck it" route and is just basically telling game devs that they can just leave games unfinished in EA and they would just not give two fucks about it. Let me make it a bit more clear for you just in case it didn't go through, game devs DON'T have to finish their games and can still charge money to PLAY THEM. This IMO goes against everything Early Access stands for. Early Access is supposed to be a place where devs can allow users to play their games in their Alpha/Beta forms without having to require a key. This allows users to communicate with the devs on what to do to help make the game better to provide a smooth workable game on release instead of just relying on a few internal playtesters who can't catch all of the bugs. This is a good concept, and many budding Indie companies follow that route and gain revenue to further work on their game in a Win/Win situation. However, some "devs" and even big name companies exploit the system to just shit out shovelware without the fear of being judged because "lol, it's in Early Access, which means it's unfinished, lololol." They just dump out crap and expect customers to accept it, sometimes just outright abandoning the game entirely, forever leaving it in Early Access as just a cash cow, not giving a single fuck about complaints and sometimes outright censorship of criticism on their local Steam Game forum. Remember Earth 2066? It was pulled from Steam and people actually got refunds in a rare instance of actual quality control. It was pulled not because it was a crappy "game", but because of false advertisement on its store page. Nevertheless, that game was the perfect example of how the system can be exploited. Up until this point, Valve has neither accepted, nor denied that companies are allowed to do this. But now that the cats out of the bag, the floodgates have been fully opened. Early Access is no longer "Early Access", it is now "Dumping Grounds," because "devs" will no longer be afraid to just shovel unfinished shit into Steam, gain the front page, and gain revenue for no effort whatsoever. I expected better of Valve and actually put quality control in instead of just taking the easy way out. Unbelievable. / Also don't say that EA users should expect this. Sure, they should know that they're buying an unfinished product in development as in it will be finished eventually, that's EA's point. The least Valve can do is put a big ass warning in the EA section saying some of these games probably won't be finished and never probably will be. Especially if they're going this route. There, that's all I have to say about it. How about you guys, what do you think of all of this?

    Star Wars Thread

Yea, I am myself a bit conflicted on the whole thing. I mean, on one hand, Battlefront III FINALLY! and DICE will make it great I'm sure. On the other hand....EA........ Also I swear to god if they make it XBONE/Origin exclusive, I'm gonna be so pissed, as in, this will happen. It was sad to see Battlefront get into EA's hands. I just know they'll fuck it up in some way, it sucks, because I've been waiting for BF3 forever. I'd honestly rather have Disney create/publish it, lesser of two evils....I think.

What song are you listening to RIGHT now?

Went through some of Stabby's frag vids after he posted a new one, and forgot how awesome his music taste was. The Detonator is a source of explosive propulsion, which generally makes classes go faster than they can walk. The only debatable thing is whether the victim is "wet", but the game's coding probably just checks whether the player is in a body of water without regards to depth. Oh ffs. HERE! Are we done here?

After much consideration, and talking with several friends, a lot of them have said to craft the Headtaker, I'm crafting it. To be honest, I kind of was planning to craft it, but I wanted to see if there was any point in trying my hand at luck. Guess not. Be back with screenies.

Oh guys, help me make a decision here. I have 2 ref, a Scotman Skullcutter, and the Haunted Metal Scrap. Should I go ahead and craft the Headtaker, or should I keep going to 4 ref and craft one of the hats? I'm already at 3 Ref, so it won't take long to get to 4, but, with the Headtaker, I have 100% of getting what I want, with the skull hats, only 33%-66%. If it were still the Vooduu Juju, and the skull hat, it'd be 50-50 chance of getting what I wanted. But now, is it still worth it? Or should I craft the Headtaker? If their foot is in water, then they are wet, you just don't see it because they aren't drenched.

    Mario Kart 8

First Impressions: Firstly, the game is beautiful, it's very Mario Kart-ish. Secondly, the maps are amazing, none of the new maps are overtly stupid in design, though Rainbow Road is pretty underwhelming to be honest, unlike past Mario Kart games. Sure it's pretty, but it just have that Rainbow Road feeling, not enough unique obstacles that make it stand out, in fact, it's pretty bland and straightforward compared to the rest of the tracks in the game. As for the Retro Cups, all terrible choices for tracks, the only decent choices are Tick-Tock Clock and the N64 Rainbow Road (which they used Double Dash RR music, which was a nice touch), though the Mario Kart 8 touches they bring to em, do improve them somewhat such as being able to underwater in Sherbert Land without just dying. Anti-grav is a nice touch, strange how you get a boost from bumping into people. Can be disorienting at times though. The gliding through air and underwater stuff is pretty nice, though gimmicky. Character choice is pretty nice, though Metal Peach (and Luigi) are terrifying. I also feel somewhat they just added in the Koopalings to just make the roster seem bigger. The addition of ATV's to the mix of vehicles is interesting, I wonder if they will expand upon them next game, considering there's only two of em in this game, probably as an experiment. Replay sytem is hilarious, though I wish you could record slow down and fast forwards and stuff, maybe next game. Aw man, I have an awesome shot of Koopa Troopa getting hit by a Blue Shell. Just after hitting someone, he's all happy, then he looks up and sees the Blue Shell and his eyes follow it as it's coming down and it cuts to black just as it hits the ground. It was hilarious. So far it's good, but not as good as or better than Double Dash....yet. Nothing has yet to beat that one.

Wiimote+Nunchuck was the best way to play Mariokart Wii. Shame the servers are shut down. I would say the Wii Wheel would be the best, considering you know, it's a steering wheel in a racing game.

My rule of thumb is that there are less than two "power classes" (Soldier, Demo, Heavy) I don't go Medic, instead, I go as one of those classes. If there are at least 3 power classes and a Medic, I'll go to a support class.
