Does it take the same hp value or the same percentage value? If it were hp value based, then it'd be better for heavies to take the packs because then the Medic could get a full 150 from a medium healthkit.

It works exactly as if the medic has grabbed the HealthKit. So however medkits work. Despite the flavor, this melee would be great with competent pockets because you could get double duty from every medkit you encounter

Anyone here remember Genma Saotome? He was a troll who used to bait people into arguments that the Original was/wasn't a resign of the Rocket Launcher (he'd take whatever stance opposed theirs.) I used to talk to him on Steam (my default strategy is to add and befriend SPUF trolls so they wouldn't target me on the forums) and he even bought me Kentucky Route Zero for Christmas. Then one day he told me he was a Canadian field medic stationed in Afghanistan and he had to return to active duty and I never saw him on Steam again. I've always wondered if he was just trolling me one last time.

  3. Yay, my group started a new campaign and I found a 5e class that I'm actually enjoying playing! The Artificer is super versatile, basically he's got this bag where he can grab an infinite supply of potions that all deal different types of damage or debuffs, and the best part is that he can throw these potions in a 30-foot range and they deal area-of-effect damage, which means he doesn't have to make attack rolls, the enemy has to make saving throws. I infinitely prefer this over rolling a d20 to hit because I can tag everything in a 10-foot radius with some attack and probably hit at least one. Plus he's got enough buffing and healing abilities to keep the support player in me happy.

  4. Anybody who wants to play Overwatch, just add me! aabicus#1863 on Battle.net, and I main healers so you'll get delicious healing goodness. Especially Lucio *3*

  5. I miss the Factotum from 3.5. He was designed to be a jack-of-all-trades who could fill any class role for a single turn, so to that effect he had every skill as a class skill and middling stats all around. His main gimmick was "inspiration points" which refresh every encounter and he could spend them to either buff a certain stat or emulate other classes' abilities for a single round. This meant he could step in and heal if the cleric was distracted, or tank a single blow if the barbarian gets knocked out by an unlucky crit, but he couldn't sustain any one role for very long. Nevertheless meant you could constantly switch party roles during an encounter so I never got bored.

  6. I wish I could find healing fun in DnD 5e. But I just can't. It's your turn, you heal whoever's the most wounded, and now your turn is over. At the end of the fight, figure out how many times you cast Cure wounds and remove those many spell slots. I actually dreaded getting the Level 17 "you heal for max, don't bother rolling" perk because it took away the one time I got to roll dice.

Luckily being a combat spellcaster or a melee fighter is funner than ever. But DnD still hasn't figure out how to make healing not suck.

  7. I just bought a Thanatos, but didn't have time to use it. I'm hoping that suddenly I become a lean green massacring machine, I had the worst luck/aim in the universe with the stock Pulsar. The presence of recoil didn't help one bit.

EDIT: Turns out I still suck. Should have upgraded my Medical Applicator or something.
