  1. I would buy the Hurt Locher if it didn't have that giant tube collar. I know it's supposed to be an EOD suit, but it just looks ridiculous. It's like a dog wearing a cone around its neck.

Someone brought that up in a previous conversation on the same topic. Yes.
  3. You can't pay money if you're dead! Legally
  4. I am coming for you. I will find you. And I will make you pay.
  5. Speaking of stuff on the head, I'm still fuckin pissed that the Eye Catcher doesn't cover Demo's other eye.
  6. Going to my cousins as usual and having big ass barbecue and firing explosives into the sky until 4:00 AM.

The noise that plays in Ocarina of Time when a switch is counting down is still pants-shittingly terrifying to this day.

I regret not using Abby's playstyle more before it got killed. I only did Sticky Jumper and Persuader like maybe 3 times.

  11. So recently people have been unhappy with the fact that the Sandman-Guillotine combo is out the window, or at least TFTeam permitting. For about the past 3 weeks I've been rolling Scattergun, Guillotine, and Bat whenever I play Scout, cause I wanted to see how the Guillotine fared without the Sandman (before the balance changes blogpost, mind you), and it's fucking good. Like good. The Guillotine deals 50 damage upon impact, followed by 40 bleed damage over time. That's 90 damage (assuming the bleed doesn't get snuffed by stuff like Dead Ringer or Demo shield charge) if you can land the projectile. Now maybe I'm biased cause I main Demoman and I'm used to projectiles, but landing the Guillotine is not that hard. Now, 90 damage on a 6 second cooldown is good and all, but a lot of people are unwilling to make the tradeoff from the beloved Pistol. In the Scout's arsenal, the Pistol is primarily used as a finisher, in the event that you are unable to reload your Scattergun or if the enemy is at a range unfitting of the Scattergun. In contrast, the Guillotine works much better as an initiator of fights, tossing one at your enemy before bringing out the Scattergun means that your enemy is guaranteed to be taking damage over time during the fight, in the form of bleed damage. Also take note that the Guillotine deals the same damage at any range, that 90 damage has no falloff. It's essentially an extra Scattergun shot, damage-wise, without the affects of bullet spread and damage falloff whiffing the damage. It can be used as a finisher as well if you really need it to, although a much more burst-damage one. What do you guys think of the weapon? I've been having a lot of fun and good results with it, even got a few airshots.

The Guillotine is Good Even Without the Sandman

    You said it yourself.

You don't need the Pistol to finish people off if you finish them off with the Scattergun

Well why use the Pistol or any secondaries at all if the Scattergun is supposedly the be-all-end-all and the time switching to secondaries could just be spend reloading? Each secondary has a role and a time during a fight to use it.

Cause the Guillotine is best used to start fights. If you're starting a fight, chances are you already have all your shots loaded. You don't want to use the Guillotine in the middle of a fight like you are suggesting cause then, yeah, it would take time.

A lot of people are throwing shit-fits because most of the changes are nerfs. That is not necessarily a bad thing. A weapon getting nerfed is not inherently bad.

I found it a pleasant surprise that they brought back the old slowdown instead of something more complicated.

The Guillotine is still 50 damage and 40 bleed damage every 6 seconds if you can hit it. It's not bad if you learn it.
  21. How was the Crit-a-Cola buffed? They removed the speed boost and made it so that the Scout using it gets marked for death for 5 seconds each attack they do. So now the Scout will have to take minicrits to deal minicrits, and not just afterwards.

I'm pretty sure the Pyro update and Jungle update will be one in the same.

The only changes I didn't like are the ones to the YER (makes you unable to escape after backstabbing), the Base Jumper (REALLY bad move on this one, I think. Being exposed in the air was already a downside, being able to deploy and undeploy the chute was a way to dodge), and the Danger Shield (although they did fix the big problem with it, they removed flares as one of the big ways to get Snipers off your back for a few seconds) My favorite changes were the Panic Attack (sounds like this weapon could be lots of fun now and a reliable real weapon), Sandman (no more stuns praise Jesus), Crit-a-Cola (deal minicrits, take minicrits), Bonk (retains its original function of bypassing enemies, but with a downside now), Atomizer (the mobility is still there, but now it will be used to access certain areas when need be, instead of flying around your enemies all day), Mantreads (I wonder what 200% more air movement will feel like), and Vitasaw (the new idea is somewhat counter-intuitive, having to put yourself and your Uber at risk in order to gain Uber insurance, but it's still a good risk-reward situation) I'm very (VERY) happy to see that Demo didn't get nerfed. But he didn't get any changes to stuff like the Claid or Persuader or Loose Cannon or Caber or Tide Turner either. At least Scout finally got his turn on the end of the nerf stick. Glad to see the TF Team is finally communicating like modern game developers. EDIT: The blog post does say it's a peek at SOME of the balance changes. I completely forgot that this is the PYRO update but this new post had no Pyro changes. So hope for Demo (and Bison) live.
  24. THANK YOU! I was about to say the same thing!
