I do not like games that absolutely require playing with friends in order to be fun. I like resource management (I attribute this as one of the reasons why I main Demo) and a good sense of progression. I'm alright with linear gameplay, if not preferring it. One of the biggest things that cause a lot of open world games to fall flat is that at some point there's just nothing to do. I don't understand immersion quite. Broad and unique weapon selection. I do not like realistic-looking games typically. Fast, free, precise movement. Good and non-repetitive soundtrack. If I can listen to a single track for an hour or two while animating and not get bored, it is good. Not necessarily good story, but well-thought-out story.

I still play TF2 regularly. Though recently I haven't played games much at all, because I have devoted all spare time I have to my animation. Do not tell anyone.

I have noticed that memes recently have regressed to an older state, almost beyond simple irony. Ownling libtards is just a version of pwning often accompanied by typical mid-to-late 2000s internet lexicon and our old buddy the troll face, gnoming is just Rick Rolling, and Thanos Car could literally just be a 2009 meme and nobody would ever know. Did we ever really leave?

Isabelle just feels kinda cheap and uninspired. Like a good chuck of her moves are straight Villager shit, and the other moves are miscellaneous Animal Crossing things, because her character by itself has little moveset potential. It's not a fair comparison, but looking at the massive fucking pool that Simon/Richter and K. Rool had to draw their movesets from, cause there's so much shit that they actually DO in their games, it just feels kinda like "Okay, but why?"

Isabelle has like 2/3 Villager's moveset seemingly.

Somewhat related to tomorrow's direct- so Nintendo did the Nintendo Indie "Nindie" showcase for summer like late last month, right? I saw it going on and was like "oh, alright, I'll watch the last few minutes of this". Some of the games were genuinely good looking. Then the presentation ends and some people in chat were genuinely saying "What that's it? No Smash?"
