Any way we can get TP and TPA some time, or at the very least /back? I want to go expeditioning with guys but they're like 7k blocks away. =(
-
I can't stand that show. It irritates me on some deep level and I don't know precisely why.
-
The area I'm talking about is to the right of there, and behind. I've taken a buncha flowers but I just can't find enough white tulips. Also, frsrs we need to change the Locked Chest thing we have. Is "You die lololol" really the best way to handle someone touching a locked chest?
-
Heads up on a fuckton of horses and donkeys in the general vicinity of x: -379, y: 64, z: -200. All I ask as a "finder's fee" is that you bring me all the flowers you come across out there, especially White Tulips so I can complete my bitchin' garden.

Season 1 is really fucking weird and random. Season 2 is really fucking weird and random, but you have a better sense of what's going on so it doesn't feel as weird and random. Season 3, for the most part, is less weird and random, but still weird, but has some more complex themes thrown in occasionally. Except for the episodes that just make you go "WTF am I watching". Season 4 is a lot like Season 3, but more so. Haven't watched Season 5 yet.

Why do you need Creative, Doop? Just hunt around and stuff.
-
You don't have to stop, you just have to open chat. And look at it this way, would you rather lose a chest (which you can get back to later if you look for it), or lose 56 diamonds?
-
Why not use /spawn or /home real quick?
-
Also, Lockette. Experience has shown that we need Lockette to limit the dickery to vandalism instead of vandalism AND theft.
-
Vanilla gets real old after a while. At least put up the simple Bukkit with the nickname mod, /home and /back and such. I'm pretty sure nobody's going to cry a river at having to wait an extra few weeks for a new update.

What kind of horrible tasteless monster would take a song that's pretty much perfection and do this to it?

That too but essentially what happens is your disguise drops and the Sentry starts turning. There's .6 or however long it takes seconds before the melee attack hits, and then you can swap weapons, which takes something like .3 seconds IIRC. So the Sentry has had almost a whole second to turn around and murders yo, usually just as you place the Sapper. That extra .3 seconds is enough leeway to make Stab/Saps harrowing, but still very doable in locations that preclude you from walking in the opposite direction it turns (like Sentries in corners or against walls).
-
Well the stab/sap was hard because they hadn't added the No Swap Time to the Sapper yet. That's one bit I won't miss.
-
The one thing I miss, actually. Backstabbing was a god damned ART with the original system. You really had to get a FEEL for it, how your opponent was moving, exactly how long you needed to wait to press the button, and so on. Melee combat being your sole tool was actually a viable option, since if you played your cards right you could get inside the enemy's guard, twist, stab, and by the time you got all the way around them they were dead. The quick stabs are nice, and help more than they harm (since lag and hit "correction" fucks everything over) but on a good server, with low ping? The original backstab mechanics were heavenly.

Trust me...you don't. Fighting Soldiers during the early days was pure hell. "Oh hey, he's in close with a rocket launcher, can't shoot me for fear of damaging himself!" *Fires rocket at point blank, does 100damage to me* "OWWWW!!" *Fires another rocket at point blank, now I'm dead* "Well he must be almost dead..." *Soldier has taken a combined ~30 damage from self damage*

Shit might hit the fan on Ukraine

Don't feel obligated. War is for patriots, not people who think they should go because it's "manly" to do so. Especially not what is (no offense) likely a war with little chance of victory on your side barring a lot of international support. But here's hoping it doesn't come to that, really. Stay safe regardless. -
I'd like to play with y'all again too some time, I had fun. I promise I won't suggest Demoknight Wave 666 again.
-
Hey come on now, it could be good. Danny's playing so we at least won't have to hear Arin go from "Yeah this game is pretty good" to "this game is the most poorly designed piece of shit I've ever played" just because he sucks at it.
-
I really enjoyed our Minecraft server. That was the only server I'd ever really play on, since SP is boring as shit.
-
I dunno, I do a bi-yearly replay of the Kingdom Hearts series and the first one on the hardest difficulty is always a lot harder than KH2. I haven't played BBS, 3Ds, or FM+ though.

This is not old games vs new games, really. And "simplified design" is a weird phrase to use in referring to newer games. Older games were more simplified. Take a look at something like Contra. Jump, duck, and shoot were basically your options. Very simple game. Also balls hard, but yeah. Newer games have a tendency to be easier, sure, but part of that may be BECAUSE of a less simplified design. The more options you have, the more options have a tendency to be helpful in a certain situation. Go back to Contra. Leave most of the enemies the same and such. Now add the third dimension. Instead of only being able to go forward/backward/duck/jump to dodge bullets, you also can go left/right. The game is now a LOT easier because of that fact. It's why bullet hell games are almost exclusively 2D as well (top down perspective). Bullet hell-esque sections in otherwise 3D games tend to be comparatively easy, and not just because they're not intended to be super hard, but also because a level that is super hard in a real bullet hell plopped into a 3D world is going to be very easy. Now look at all the OTHER options that new games have. Eagle Vision being one. Some of the AC games (mostly AC2 and Brotherhood) can actually be VERY difficult if you refrain from using Eagle Vision. Likewise the Focus mechanics from Hitman: Absolution that purists were complaining about. There's a game mode that removes Focus for everything but using disguises. It is insanely difficult. Basically, options are power. More power equals being able to overcome harder challenges more easily. Now, is this always the case? No. Games have also gotten easier so as to be more accessible to the casual gamer. Growing the market is important, and making games (or at least game modes, Easy and such) less difficult and more importantly less TIME CONSUMING to play through is a good way to do that.

It's not the best ever, but it's one of the best things on CN right now that I know of. Not that I actually watch TV on TV most of the time so something else could be on I don't know about.
