I don't think you've played since they've added extremely questionable things to hoxhud. I think Hoxhud is a very valuable tool to players who know how to use it, and to those that don't it's a crutch. For me it's somewhere in between. Stupid things it has include: Hidden scripts for the stuff witty said Showing health on enemies Showing total unbagged items on the map Infoboxes showing total enemies on the map Police assault indicator Questionable features Drill timers Pager counters Action timers for everything* Downs/pistol messiah timers Sprint meter* Damage dealt as a numerical value Uninterruptable action interaction Extremely useful non-crutch features/Quality of life Restart button Anti-cheat thingy which I don't know what it does but it's sorta cool Headshot indictators ECM timer Sniper rifle angled sight fixer-uper thingy Skill profiler Improved damage indicators purty lasers And that's about it. It has a lot of questionable features which in the hands of a newer player act as crutche, but if you disable all the pointless crap/cheaty bits it's pretty useful *personally i've recently realized these features are pretty useless, in the case of sprint meters with endurance you rarely run out of sprint, and in the case of action timers bain announces when most stuff is about to finish Oh yeah, and the head dev of hoxhud is a fucking baby. The guy refuses to listen to criticism, disobeys direct orders from overkill (see restart projob/force ready), belittles anyone asking genuine questions, acts extremely high and mighty, puts this stupid always online crap on a goddamn MOD, forces you to always have the mod up to date or else you can't use it, and makes it so you HAVE to be in the group to use this "free" mod so yeah
