Just another day in The O.

I'm trying to see how much territory I can take until the end of the game in Victoria II. It's going slowly, mostly because I have to grind through hundreds of thousands of conscripts to take cities (hopefully before they raise more conscripts) to force the enemy to take a peace. Not to mention the sheer volume of manpower some countries can produce. http://puu.sh/2cpSz 1,168,000 troops total in London, of the ~700,000 I had there about 200,000 were regular troops while the other 500,000 were reservists. That was more or less my entire army, except for the garrisons scattered throughout Africa and Asia. The war actually ended before the battle, and I got that shitty little frozen colony I wanted from Sweden. Then Austria ♥♥♥♥ed around with Switzerland, an ally, and I gobbled up some of their allies before taking Tirol and 5 years worth of reparations. Of course everybody has a justification to go to war with me to stop all this conquering, but they understand that declaring war on me would only get them annexed faster.

Never played it, but that was almost 10 years ago. Game companies have changed a lot in that period. Hell, look at Valve from 2007 to now. I find it hard to get hyped for games that promote something other than the actual gameplay. Haze... why, Haze? I believed in yoooouuuu.
