Didn't you used to be Designator? Anyway, I made up John Caveson when I first made my Steam account. I've played Portal and I noticed many people try to be Cave Johnson but I wanted to be original and witty and went "wait a minute, Cave Johnson? How about John Caveson? Yes, it's perfect, simple, witty, reference to a game I like, I could use this." So I searched up the name, nothing came up, and I was like "Welp, John Caveson it is then." (I would find out later there was a John Caveson on Steam, but I as like "eh whatever, at least I'm not Rainbow Dash #5642.") Since then I've used that name for Steam, SPUF, subSPUF, Gmail, and even YouTube in the form of Sir John, Son of Cave. It's basically my gaming persona really. Portal references? What kind of Idiot does that?
