To expand on my one major gripe with R2's ending:
-
As someone who mains Soldier, I love people who use it and give me free points.
-
I can honestly say I found R2 irritating from episodes 1-17 and 19. Ohgi, go away. For a while it just felt like they were trying to shoehorn as many plot twists in as they could. granted, the whole euphinator thing in r1 was basically that too, but... I enjoyed it, but feel like it's overrated as a whole. On the other hand, CC and Kallen are things that exist now, so all is forgiven. And Lloyd just makes every scene perfect. also: the Japanese dvd commentary is hilarious.

I cheese rifle'd it this time around. Barret's got fixed for the new one, speaking of.
-
I'm rather disappointed they didn't change the final "boss fight" or the EndingTron3000 thing. Otherwise, the Director's Cut was damn enjoyable. lolnamirsuckgrenadelauncher

Nuzlocking platinum is an exercise in agony. I've got three water-types and two flying-types at this point. I'm going to spend like four hours tonight furiously powerleveling them.

UQ Holder's pretty interesting so far, speaking of.

...dammit. Incidentally, the new Fairy Tail villains managed to set a new mark for (in-series) atrocities within two chapters of being introduced.

imma nuzlocke platinum starting tonight this ought to be fun and I'm gonna start with Piplup, because I actually don't think I've ever done that before. I'm not going to release anything though, since a bunch of things will be transferred to gen 5 then 6. Then once I finish that run, I'll do quick runs through the first gym with the other two starters, teach something Stealth Rock, then bounce them forward as well.

I'm pretty sure the Maison is adapting its teams to me. I've had Scizor as a lead, and six out of the last seven rounds have started with a fire-type on their end.
-
So some metagame thoughts: Scizor is laughing all the way to the bank. Rotom-W is a hell of a defender. Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Hydro Pump with leftovers. Paralyze special sweepers, burn physical ones, bounce out to attacker. Talonflame with Gale Wings is frighteningly good as an anti-sweeper or cleanup crew. Even with an 81 base attack, priority Brave Bird is just incredible. Won't last long, but he'll take at least one down with him. Azumarill must have won the karmic lottery or something to get a fairy subtype. Fun fact: A Huge Power Adamant attack stat of 50 base is only two points lower at level 100 (effectively 436) than a base adamant 150 at level 100 (438). Azumarill can hit almost as hard as Rayquaza. I'm betting VoltTurn is going to be even bigger than it was in Gen 5, but priority moves are going to be the utter king.

Eh, I enjoyed it. It's in the "I'm well aware this is stupid but still find it entertaining" category.
