Hoenn Elite Four and potential for Megas: Sydney has an Absol as his ace. Yes. Phoebe has a pair of Banette and a Sableye as her ace. Yes. Glacia: Two Sealeos, two Glalie, and a Walrein. Unless they add Mega Walrein (who would basically be aquatic Wilford Brimley or something), no. (Seriously, change one of those Glalie to Froslass and one of the Sealeo to basically anything else. Drake: Unless Flygon/Kingdra/Mence/Altaria(lol) get a mega, nope. Steven/Wallace: Steven's got an Aggron, and depending on Metagross' theorized mega, probably. Wallace also has a Gyarados, so also probable.

Water/Electric would make sense (and be utterly terrifying because now it'd be neutral to electric), but do we know it's getting one? Pretty damn sure that you were forced to deal with the whole Radio Tower mess before going to Blackthorn in the originals too. Nope. You could stroll on through the Ice Path, pick up a decent Ice mon or two, and then train them with the Radio Tower stuff.

HGSS good you're joking, high, or both Reasons HGSS were atrocious remakes: By far the worst handholding in the entire series. After badge 7 in the GBC games, you could go to Blackthorn and do stuff- just not the gym. The wild pokemon on the route south of Blackthorn were equal to those at Mahogany's neighboring route. HGSS: Nope. The entire pants-on-head retarded bit that was the Radio Tower "Disguise" segment. Five minutes of detours that literally amounted to nothing. Making the legendaries integral to the plot for no reason whatsoever. The Pokegear phone calls went from "occasional" to "every four minutes" The very concept of Lyra. Bring back Crystal you fuckers. Oof. Dat trailer though. The thing after Fortree? That's Cycling Road.

So the newest issue of fairy tail had a cliffhanger that made me decide I'm giving it up. Context: Current villains have a superweapon that's literally a continent-sized magic-removing pulse thing. Wendy (the young girl on the main team) got to be truly and incredibly badass and destroyed it before it went off about six chapters back. Cut to the end of the most recent one: Apparently these things are all over the fucking continent, thus making her shining moment Entirely Pointless. On the other hand, it doesn't surpass the walking nexus of bullshit that is Madara. Basically we went from villains with actual motives and ways to be beaten to this guy: "Your attacks have no effect on me!" For literally over a hundred chapters. Two goddamn years real-time.
