Legend of the Galactic Heroes is an OVA that ran for over a decade, 1988-2000. (It's a 110 episode OVA, think about that). Putting it very, very, VERY basically - It is anime Star Wars. Now the thing about it is, it's way better than Star Wars...Supposedly. Not that it is particularly hard to be better than Star Wars, but I digress. I haven't actually seen the show myself, because I tend to stay away from shows that long, but I know for a fact that it is held in high regards by many and is practically considered a "must watch". The reason why people are in a buzz about this, is for two reasons mainly. 1: It's a very popular show, so people are excited/worried/whatever to an extent about this new adaptation. 2: It took them so fucking long to finish the first adaptation of the manga. 12 years. What the fuck are they doing this for? How long will this take? Will it even be any good?

The 10 episode TV series for this was super good, I highly recommend it.

That's a good point, why the fuck don't these assholes ever come to the MLM Mumble? I feel like saying, "Because we're not from MLM" is too obvious. Facade isn't from MLM, Guy isn't really from MLM, Skye is there sometimes and he isn't from MLM. MLM is barely fucking a thing anymore, we just hang around because we're really gay for each other. Hell, I know that Buddha, Binary and Rammite have been there too for inhouses and shit. Step. It. Up.

Yeah, we all really enjoyed it. We're goign to try to do more anime films for movie night, even if it is only like four of us that go. If I may recommend a few, all of these are family friendly... Except for maybe Paprika, which deals with some funky themes (It's about dreams). Summer Wars is just an all around enjoyable movie, Tokyo Godfathers is hilarious and heartwarming, Paprika is... You have to watch it. No excessive gore or horror or anything, but it does get weird, Lupin III is literally what inspired Indiana Jones, a great adventure movie, Little Witch Academia is basically a Japanese take on Harry Potter (It's only ~30 minutes long I think, but it's really good.: Summer Wars Tokyo Godfathers Paprika Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro Little Witch Academia

Ergo Proxy is fucking with me. In the span of three episodes it went from dark, dystopian future, crammed with symbolism and mysteries, to a slapstick-humour talkshow, to a slice of life/daily shenanigans kind of show. Not that I particularly minded the change of pace, as I am sure it will get back on track story-wise, it just kinda came out of nowhere.

Hey Spufpowered, I have a very serious problem. I'm fucking crying because of how stupid I am. Okay so my girlfriend was supposed to come over to my house today because I was going to take her to a movie. She lives about 20 minutes away, and the movie we were supposed to see started at 4:15, which was in about 40 minutes. I figured "cool, I'll just play Pokemon while I wait". So I'm playing Pokemon, and having a pretty damn good time. Anyway, she finally does show up, except she's crying as she walks into my room. Instead of doing the right thing by comforting her, I half-focus on my game and her. She starts telling me that her cat died, and just as she was getting into it, I get into a random encounter in my game. A shiny pidgey. Holy shit. (For those of you who don't know/care, shiny Pokemon have less than a 1/1,000 chance of appearing; 1/8192 to be exact.). I stare into my screen in amazement, yelling "holy shit, YES", interrupting her mid-story. She sobs more and she starts to yell "You don't even fucking care! YOU JUST WANT TO PLAY YOUR FUCKING GAME!" I'm still looking at my screen, still focusing on catching my shiny Pidgey, when she walks over, and tosses the game against the wall. I run over and pick up my DS hoping that nothing has changed on screen, and quickly notice that she broke it. My system and my shiny Pidgey, gone forever. I start screaming every obscenity I know, and started flailing my arms around. I didn't know she was behind me, and apparently I backhanded her in the face while I was being a dumbass and swinging my fists around. She yells out "FUCK YOU", and runs out of my house in tears. What have I done? I've fucked up so badly, and I need to know how to approach her. I don't want a game of Pokemon to be responsible for ruining my best relationship ever. Help me, Spufpowered
