Get in this stream and help EvilBrain pick what bird he's gonna fuck.

Turns out Nageki is actually a ghost that died 5 years ago in the library. He's stuck there and we have some magical girl power to see and talk to ghosts. So we freed him from his bindings to the Earth.

I want it pretty badly. I think you'd probably like it. I just got back home so I'm about to play it for the first time but I've heard great things about it.

Isn't Quake Live one of those games where the only people who still play it are diehard fans who are stupidly good at it? In that case it seems all the terrible F2P would just get buttfucked and never play again.

Time Heist had better actually involve tons of mind melting time travel. Because if the Doctor doesn't go Oceans Twelve with a version of himself from half an hour into the future to escape with some precious artifact in the five minutes before his past self actually steals it after the EMP his present self just hid in just the right spot in the caves under the bank 10,000 years before the actual heist based on information he received from his future self (who paradoxically received it from his future self ad infinitum) goes off and disables the security systems for single second, meaning the artifact actually has to exit the museum at the exact moment it's being stolen in some extremely convoluted timey-wimey loop or some shit, then this will be a tragically wasted premise.

That's more pre-game kind of stuff, though. I agree, it makes more sense to start certain runs with certain items, but I don't really like using console commands later on in the game. For this run in particular too, I didn't add anything to my inventory. This character I just started off fresh because I wanted him to turn into that badass bounty hunter instead of being one at the beginning. I have those DLC packs as well so I have a few options when it comes to starting attire and weapons.

Legitimalely, no. You can use commands to teleport there or noclip into the wall behind the radio and find a 'Go to Sierra Madre' portal I feel dirty using commands in an RP run, otherwise I probably would have gone back for it or spawned the holo-disk that allows you to fabricate it. It's not a huge deal, the LMG is a fine alternative - it just seems like a pretty significant design flaw in general. IIRC Dead Money also has the best set of Light Armor in the game (as far as DT goes) and it's easy enough to miss it and never have an opportunity to obtain it again. As for Honest Hearts, it's not particularly good but it adds the very cool .45's, is mercifully short and gives you all the character outfits at the end which is a nice touch.
-
Which is bullshit, because there are a few items you can only find there. I missed the upgraded internals mod for the Automatic Rifle which actually puts its performance above the LMG in several respects, and to my knowledge it's just not possible to go back and get it now.

I never thought I'd say this but Claptrap actually looks kind of cool. It might be fun to play the wildcard character and the I Love You Guys tree seems to have some pretty nice team buffs. Nisha also. I don't like the whole lock-on deal but I've always wanted a gunslinger character.

I need to get around to extracting the New Vegas and FO3 soundtracks and some of the dialogue files. At one point I was going to put together a soundtrack playlist with all of Mr. New Vegas/Three Dog's interludes and set it up like the actual radio stations.

I want it but I think I'll wait to see how much game we'll actually be getting. I loved BL2 but I don't think I'm ready to pay 60 bucks for what might be closer to an expansion pack.

In which John asks a bunch of random strangers to help him make a informed decision on something

If you're actually going to buy an Xbone for a few Halo games, I would say no. However, if you buy it I'm pretty certain you'll find other games you like and it'll make sense to purchase it. -
Let's see, favorites... Fallout 3 Victory Rifle, Lincoln's Repeater, Perforator, Gauss Rifle New Vegas Anti-Materiel Rifle (GRA), Medicine Stick, LMG, Annabelle This Machine gets an honorable mention for that badass ping sound it makes when it reloads.

I think all the weapons are cool too, but there's a difference for me between liking a weapon and liking to use a weapon. If we're going by aesthetics alone, I think Plasma weapons are the coolest ones in the game, there's just something about them that makes them less satisfying for me when I'm actually trying to kill stuff. Maybe it's because I don't like dealing with the projectile speed. I think laser weapons are pretty neat but if I'm gonna go with more of a hitscan weapon I'd prefer to just use guns.
-
Eh. Guns and explosives are way more satisfying IMO. And nothing beats sniping dudes with exploding .50 cal rounds. I've always liked the Gauss Rifle because it seems to have the coolest features of both.

I think my next New Vegas RP run is going to be hardcore mode, as a hypochondriac scientist who absolutely refuses to eat or drink anything with the slightest amount of radiation or negative SPECIAL effects. I want to see how long I can last.

Good Karma Independent New Vegas seems like one of the better options, honestly. Kill off the Legion, Peacefully get the NCR to stand down. It sucks you have to basically ruin House no matter if you kill him or not, but it's his fault for wanting to rule New Vegas without actually giving a fuck about any of the people in it.

Not really, no. Apologies, that does sound a little bit elitist. But honestly, Fallout is more than just the lore, so I think most people are willing to forgive that slight loophole. Bethesda was trying to fit their game in the lore somewhere, so I guess i can't really fault them too much. That's alright. I would say I'm more of a casual fan, at least when it comes to the first two games. I can totally understand how it's annoying when new people take over and don't get the lore right or what have you. It just bothers me when people say that Fallout 3 was a bad game because of lore issues - I don't think anyone in this discussion called it "bad" mind you, but I've heard this said in other discussions. Fallout 3 wasn't perfect but it was a pretty damn good game, and letting what seem to be somewhat minor inconsistencies ruin it seems silly (especially considering that Bethesda seems to have tried to explain some of the differences in the east coast iteration of the game and make it fit).

Not really, no.

I believe in Fallout 1, there is a note somewhere that says all FEV research was moved to the Mariposa Military Base. Unless Fallout 3 addresses this issue, the mutants even existing in Capital Wasteland is a break from lore as is. The only reason Bethesda included mutants, heck, even the Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel, were all just for brand purposes. The mutants in FO3 came from a vault. I think the FEV virus was acquired by Vault-Tec on the east coast, modified and installed in one of the vaults for their own experiments. The government may have been involved in the trials run by Vault-Tec but if they were, it was all off the books. My memory of it is a bit hazy, though.

IIRC the Super Mutants in Fallout 3 were created with a different strain of FEV and are almost totally unrelated to the mutants on the west coast that were seen in the first two games. Making them halfwitted barbarians with no real objectives, unity, or decent weapons makes them more than lackluster compared to the Core Region Mutties. That may be a valid complaint, but Bethesda's choice to have a different group of mutants doesn't contradict the plot of the previous two games.
