  1.

Almir's doing an AMA on reddit tomorrow.

    >disgonnabegud.gif

Wonder if he is going to have a David Wong-tier meltdown when he is getting called out on his shit leading to him deleting his own AMA.

In any case, just ready the tar and feathers I guess.

  2. What the hell are you people up to now?

Side note, oh god the Cubs are on fire right now this might actually be the year

Clearly my sabotage of the Mets has MESSED WITH THE NATURAL ORDERRRRRRRRRRRR

If the Cubs of all teams beats us I won't even be mad.

Yeah, as the poor sods do deserve a lucky break for once, as best summed up by /sp/ on what happened since the last time the Cubs won the title:

    >Radio was invented; Cub fans got to hear their team lose.
    >TV was invented; Cub fans got to see their team lose.
    >Baseball added 14 teams; Cub fans got to see AND hear their team lose to more teams.
    >George Burns celebrated his 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th and 100th birthdays.
    >Haley’s Comet passed Earth… twice.
    >Harry Caray was born… and died. Incredible, but true.
    >The NBA, NHL and NFL were formed, and Chicago teams won championships in each league.
    >Man landed on the moon, as have several home runs given up by Cubs pitchers.
    >Sixteen US presidents were elected.
    >There were 11 amendments added to the Constitution.
    >Prohibition was created, and repealed.
    >The Titanic was built, set sail, sank, was discovered, and became the subject of major motion pictures… the latter giving Cub fans hope that something that finishes on the bottom can come out on top.
    >Wrigley Field was built and becomes the oldest park in the National League.
    >Flag poles were erected on Wrigley Field roof to hold all of the team’s future World Series pennants. Those flag poles have since rusted and been taken down.
    >A combination of 40 summer & winter Olympics have been held.
    >Thirteen baseball players have won the Triple Crown; several thanked Cubs pitchers.
    >Bell bottoms came in style, went out of style, and came back in style.
    >The Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Florida Marlins have ALL won the World Series.
    >The Cubs played 14,153 regular-season games; they lost the majority of them.
    >Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and New Mexico were added to the Union.

  3. I got :alphys: which is simultaneously the best and worst emoticon I couldve gotten

EDIT I just checked the market prices on these things WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD

People, really, really like Spaghetti and dogs. And wacky skeletons, it seems.

  4. Well I finished the True Pacifist in Undertale.

Now I'm gonna pirate it and do the genocide run on that so I don't have to do anything but pacifist runs on my actual copy.

You'll think that is going to save you from having a bad time?

  5. We'll be fine dude.

    nope.avi

Game versus orcs was a massacre, as previously expected. Their team was well seasoned, with much higher value, players equipped with Block, Dirty Player and Mighty Blow which soon took it's toll on the team. Moby, Moose and Guy died; Simon,Huff and Brain were injured. And yet somehow, due to Corvette's display of bullshit dodge rolls, we managed to tie 2:2. He leveled up as result and also got Shure Feet.

As playoffs ended, we faced Halflings again, off all of the teams. We got star player, Headsplitter and Bought some new linemen in form of Kayohgee and Hugthebed. Luck still was not in our favour and Headsplitter waskilled by the treant. Hugthebed also died in his debut match, and Jordax suffered an injury (- movement allowence, which really sucks for the runner). We won 2:1, but we got really unlucky with winnings rolls and we don't have money for new linemen.

Next match will be against, Dark Elves.

RIP Moby, Moose, Guy and Hugthebed.

why am I even playing skaven

The match I am not fielded, half the team dies, and the match I return, I get yet another injury.

The man of glass indeed. Although, do I also cut inside?

  6. I'm not mad at you. I'm trying very, very hard not to panic about the Mets, and I lashed out. Sorry.

(Also, sports fans are unbelievably superstitious about jinxes.)

At least they aren't the Dutch National Team in football.

How fucking awful of a coach do you have to be to turn a team that finished third last World Cup into a team failing to qualify for the Euro Championship by losing twice against Iceland.

  7. Davjo,

If there is something you should really improve on, it is your self-esteem. Seriously, you keep on being so negative over yourself most of the time in whatever thing you are doing. I don't think people over the internet can help you with that so much except for showing that one Shia LeBoeuf clip non-stop, so you should look into that self-improvement stuff yourself. Be more positive about yourself, and really fucking go for the chances you want or still have. Not even trying is the worst you can do in those cases.

It might also have to do with stressing yourself out too often. Like Moby said, having a hobby that helps you relieve stress really much does help a lot. Doesn't really matter what hobby it is though, as long it helps you relieve stress instead of adding more stress. Doesn't even have to be a year-round hobby, maybe doing something fun in the winter like skiing is something you like, for example. It could also help if you meet more people while doing that too where you can get along with more easily. Although I am not a great authority at that either.

Also, you're still pretty young compared to most people here. There should still be enough time to improve yourself and get your stuff on track again. Just try to prioritise your IRL business. You're still in High School, and let's be honest about it, it might suck pretty much, but you really need to get yourself through it to do an education afterwards that you do actually like. It should really improve after graduating HS. Although drinking stays a pretty big interaction point, but I am fairly sure that not everyone you are going to meet is going to drink themselves into unconsciousness or is going to drunkenly juggle with knives at every social outing. Just keep with a group and keep it with IRL stuff. If they are not interested in internet stuff, just don't bring it up. Or rather, don't bring it up at all. Saves loads of bothering and bickering in my experience. Just get that feeling of what said group likes to talk about and try to contribute a bit with those conversations without it being terribly out of place with their interests. For example, I am not going to bore people with the loads of interesting but useless F1 trivia I know when I know that they don't care about it.

Another thing is, considering your age, you're most likely still going through puberty, which would explain your mood swings you seem to be having most of the time. I don't know how to help you with that one considering that it wasn't so drastic for me, but try to seek help for it if you feel that it is needed on it. At least you're already seeking help on other things, so that is a start. They should be more helpful for it than we probably are. Getting your social anxiety helped with would be a great start I think.

  8. Mad Max seems like it would be right up my alley, but it's been a while since I spent 60 bucks on a game. I feel dirty just thinking about it.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't bought a $60 game in a very long time.

I am thinking to wait for a sale on that game, although I had heard rumors that it uses Denuvo DRM, which if true, I will probably be skipping it seeing as I get the feeling that my SSD isn't doing so well anyway, and I'm not gonna risk it in that case.

  9. Well, I would be up for it too this week. Doesn't really matter what time, as long it isn't way over midnight. I still have around a week before Uni starts here anyway.

The Firebug and Demolitions weapons make this game unbelievably gory though. That Microwave Gun is able to paint entire rooms including ceilings red in a matter of seconds, and it is probably my favourite weapon in the game at the moment.

  10. The WiiU is pretty much the SSB 4 machine for me and my brother, considering how much that game gets played compared to the other games we have.

Yoshi's Wooly World is a ultra comfortable game though. Also fun co-op. Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 are really fucking great games, and are an absolute must if you even remotely like hack n' slash games. Mario Kart 8 is fun too, although I should really play it more.

  11. not to my knowledge but I don't actually feel like posting that on facebook and it's too long for twitter

edit: the fact that facebook was an alternative to here for that post has made me realize that I've just been complaining about my life because nobody else will listen

so I'll bless you guys with another update:

I hate my life, I'm better than everyone else and I still haven't got a girlfriend

Please tell me that you did not try to buy a BMW.

  12. that's kilometers, not miles

The one thing that peeves me off in Dirt Rally is how every car has it's speedometer set to MPH instead of KPH as it should on most cars.

This causes cars with a KPH speedometer like the Lancia Stratos to not even reach halfway down its KPH speedometer, as it is set to MPH despite being modelled for KPH.

Small stuff aside, I will be away for two weeks starting tomorrow. On vacation to Northern Italy for two weeks. So see you again two weeks, you lot.

  13. I know that it made known a day ago now, but I still cannot really process it that Iwata is really dead.

It just feels so strange knowing that the person who made several of my favorite games from my childhood possible is so suddenly no more.

What's even worse is realizing that the reason that he didn't show up to the last E3 was because he was pretty much dying at that moment. Yet they still did the Direct because they wouldn't want to let their fanbase down for the E3. Then the Federation Force outrage happened, and he ended up apologizing for it while he was borderline dying then. I just hope he didn't go out thinking that people really resented him due to all the whining about that single E3 Direct.

It also feels tearjerking reading the reactions of Nintendo devs who were close to him, such as Shigesato Itoi, who he co-produced Earthbound with:

    Translated it's

“When I’m parting with a friend, regardless of the circumstances, I find it best to just say, ‘See you later.’ We’ll meet again. After all, we’re friends.
That’s right—nothing unusual about it. I’ll see you later.

You went on a trip far, far away, even though it was planned for many years from now. You wore your best outfit and said ‘Sorry for the short notice,’ though you didn’t say it out loud.

You always put yourself last, after you’d finished helping everyone else. You were so generous as a friend that this trip might be your very first selfish act.

I still can’t grasp what’s happened. It feels like I could still get a light-hearted e-mail asking me out to lunch at any moment—after you’ve made sure lunch wouldn’t disrupt my schedule, of course.
You can invite me out whenever you want. I’ll invite you, too.

So for now, let’s plan on meeting again. You can call me up whenever you like, and I’ll give you a call, too. I still have a lot to talk to you about, and if I come up with any particularly good ideas, I’ll let you know.
    So let’s meet again.
No–I suppose we’re already meeting. Right here, right now.”

  14. He was making a Dutch oven joke

I tried to return with a Dutch wife joke but I couldn't really get it to work

I just decided to look it up because I am not familiar with the joke term and I was wondering what it had to do with a braadpan.

Dunno why you would want to make your partner smell your fart and why it is considered Dutch, but I am more surprised that a Dutch Wife is another name for a dakimakura.

Come on rest of the world, we are not THAT weird and lonely.

  15. Do the Dutch use farts in their ovens?

    :pinkiegasm:

That ain't a oven, mate. Those are the illegal cannabis farms that get in the news here from time to time. It mostly makes the news in the winter if it has been snowing or freezing badly and the police notices that one house somehow doesn't have a layer of ice or snow on it. Nine out of ten times it turns out to be an illegal cannabis farm in said house. But enough about the clandestine part of Dutch housekeeping, have some content.
