My Nanowrimo Novel is about Cookie Clicker.
Arm the Homeless replied to Mersopolis's topic in The Drawing Board
Can Mr. Davenport buy multiple ones with cookies? He hires Grandmas and gives them the knowledge to make a time travel device out of cookies Gives them knowledge? How? Wouldn't he need to have that knowledge first? Grandmas are already eldritch horrors brought upon by the Elder gods themselves. They are all seeing and all knowing. Just need some cookies to unlock that. Unless your story breaks the canon. -

I don't think I can legally do that. Steal cookies from the past and make them branded under the guy's cookie company. Thus he creates an inter-historical super-corporation that owns all cookies in the past, future, and present. -

Oh cool. I have another person to sacrifice brains in the cause of raising all the dongers in the world -
Created a new TR SPUF Outfit for you guys. It's name is Veni Vidi Queri (Latin for We Came, We Saw, We Whined) and the tag is WxHF (referring to the most holy of all writings, the sacred tome of WurmxHellfire). The ranks go as follows: Supreme Commander Binocrat Follower Rammilitant Maid Assassain Potato SPUD To join, just add me on Planetside 2. My name is DrEvilBrainVR (yes it was meant to be TR but my visual preceptors do not function very well). I will soon invite you to the outfit once you do so. Also, I may consider making a NC and VS outfit as well if there are enough players and if we find another good pair of names and tags.

Well, SOE is quite firm with keeping visors as the in case of emergencies "oh noes we have no ideas lets go back to what we know and used to death".
-
on the bright side she can't be offended by any jokes you speak in her presence Because she's dead. Citation needed
-
Well, a failure state doesn't have to be death, just some kind of failure of some kind. You can still beat Mass Effect or Heavy Rain by missing some actions or sequences, but it is still possible to "win" the game.
-
What is "bad" about the visor specifically? And the mouth tubes are my least favorite part, I'm trying to think of some alternatives. Visors is one thing that the Vanu community hates the most about them. It's over played and it goes to the extent that it feels cliche. I would personally add a dome over the face to add to the "mysterious and scientific" feel that goes with the Vanu. Talking about that now makes me want to play Vanu again.

Yes. He might also come to explain how every other gaming show that digresses into the finest details is completely right and how much of an idiot you are. But it's just a theory. a game theory thanks for watching

My point still stands. Left 4 Team Counter Portal-Life 3: Episode 2: The Lost Day of Garry's Defense of the Ricochet Deathmatch: Source 2 is the greatest game of all time. But in all seriousness, my ideas about the challenges in games that must be present still remain. Same goes with choice and consequence, the very idea that makes games such a different medium compared to books or movies. Interactivity is driving the industry (though many do not use interactivity to it's full potential and instead want a cinematic game, but that's a different discussion.)

Plenty of the games I have already noted as games don't contain guns, and are still capable of creating a strong and serious environment. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is an example. Many of the Bit-Trip games and Antichamber don't have guns (unless your perception on a firearm is completely skewed and you believe and object that picks up items is a gun just because it slightly resembles one). The Rhythm Heaven games don't have guns, and even the levels that have you "shooting" a target with a bow, laser cannon, or whatever still require you to do it in rhythm, making the shooting entirely cosmetic. And while Papers, Please does have a couple weapons you can receive later on in the game, they are still done in a similar fashion to the rest of the game and only are truly important when deciding the final end game endings. Gee you made an entire story to that small comic about the girl breaking the console after the guy finding a shiny Pidgey, arent you cheeky. Nope. It's a complete copypasta.

I'll just clear up the misinterpretations here. When I referred to an emotional challenge, I refered to playing to a point until you are too scared to go further. Adding a jump scare wouldnt exactly qualify. Games like DOOM, Half-Life, and Bioshock Infinite have their jumpscare moments, but emotion isn't a challenge there. Amnesia is a fine example of an emotional challenge. I, to this very day, have never finished the game because of the scares. Also, I want to point out some examples of some games that are a bit controversial. Papers, Please is a game with a distinct mental and physical challenge. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a game with a decent mental challenge (and great controls if you got to that one special part. If you played you would know) Gone Home is not a game in my opinion as it is a story that is told that you only control the pace of. Also, there needs to be a word for an interactive experience that isn't interactive experience as it is pretty much a synonym for a game
