The thing is that the Bethesda Fallouts are so large and expansive, it's hard to learn all the great things about the game without either using the wiki or making many many save files to explore every single combination of skills, traits, perks, speech, plot choices, and karma. While many of the choices in both 3 and New Vegas don't stray from the main story all too much, the way you handle quests and objectives do affect the Wasteland. In the Interplay classics, most people that joined Fallout from Bethesda's games quit after being demolished by a Radscorpion on the way out of Vault 13 or Arroyo. If they manage to make it further, they're utterly confused by how different the world works from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Rather than being able to roam the Mojave or Capital Wasteland rarely dying even with some measly Hunting Rifles and Leather Armor, the game constantly throws you into challenge after challenge in the beginning parts of the game. Without the help of a wiki or walkthrough (or at least the take the word's of Sierra, save often save early) it's very easy for someone who is new to Fallout 1, 2, or Tactics to quit within the first few hours of gameplay.

I'm level 49. Will my basically unmodded KSP and half modded Locomotive be enough.

In Fallout 3, rush to the Brotherhood Outcasts to do Operation Anchorage so you get Winterized T-51b that doesn't degrade and lots of high end weapons. Then go to the Pitt and do all that to get the Metal Blaster and access to the ammo prints. Infinite ammo and high tier weapons in the beginning of the game. In New Vegas, you can either rush to the Strip and loot everything for some fairly high mid tier guns or you can go to the Boomer's airbase and get carbines, Thump-Thump, Fat Man, and some black combat armor. You can also get the Ranger Sequoia from Golf Camp and the Gobi Campaign rifle from snipers nest pretty early on if you maxed out Lockpick. In Novac, you can pick up That Gun and Trail Carbine along with a Minigun if you wish.

Honestly, money is pretty useless in all the Fallout games. Once you get a nice stockpile of ammo, Powered Armor, weapons, stimpacks, and a few companions, you're pretty much set.

Max Luck breaks every Fallout game. In 1 and 2, 10 Luck and the Sniper perk means guaranteed crits for EVERY hit. Funniest thing is the casinos giving me basically infinite money. I can walk in with 100 caps and walk out with 2000 five minutes later Same thing in the originals. As long as you had a decent sum of Luck (basically 7 and above) you can just hold down 1 and 4 when playing craps at casinos to automatically say "Ok I want to bet" and "I bet 50 caps" to gain infinite money.'' That's because all those teams were obviously going to win. The only one that would have been a surprise to some people is Cloud9 (formerly CompLexity) beat Titan.

Wrench and stunning plasmids are the only things you need to win the game once you get all the tonics for the wrench. Only exception to this rule is for Big Daddies and the final boss. Big Daddies have a ton of melee resistance, so you're better off with a Machine Gun or Shotgun, which is pretty plentiful all throughout the game. And it's just a dumb idea to use a melee on the final boss.

If you look at it from a pure gameplay perspective, Bioshock is normal at best, and most of the game is repetitive and pretty much shoves you into a cold, underwater city with some toys to play with then goes off, locks you in there, then goes down stairs to the living room to watch late night sitcoms and the Saturday Night Live. But you can say the same with Deus Ex and Half-Life.

The best thing about Bioshock's ending was that they took a seemingly typical and boring part of a game and revolved the whole story around that one little insignificant part that everyone overlooked.

Also, Bioshock 2 was more or less of a cash grab in my opinion. The story is pretty subpar even without looking at the marvelous plot of the first. Gun mechanics are more refined this time around, to the point where they decided to have multiplayer deathmatches.

The only times I ever use a melee is for knocking down people. I'm one of those guys who shoot windows because why not.

It was the Activision one, Survival Instinct. They confirmed there will be a crossover with the Payday universe, might check it out, but it will only be released at 2016. Also, the Payday community is raging pretty hard because of it. Because "muh freee crimefeest DEE ELL SEE" Right now, Payday 2 is the TF2 of OVERKILL. It's the game that has brought them lodsadosh and I don't see it shutting down any time soon. It's allowed them to get the attention of bigger companies and allow them to have a chance at tackling large licenses with huge fanbases. It'll allow them to reach a higher point in their career. Also, the stats on the bat are crazy: Damage: 40(66) Knockdown: 160(212) Charge: 3 seconds Range: 275

Wasn't there a non-Telltale Walking Dead game that was absolute shit? OVERKILL should be able to do the series justice.

Also, for those few people who played those Geopolitical Make-Your-Own-Country games, there's one that's sorta based on the Fallout universe now
