Gonna shill the fuck out of FFXIV real quick because I'm one of the people Wulff is talking about who's at end game. I've played MMOs my entire life, ranging from the Korean F2P/P2W grindfests (which I actually really enjoy) like FLYFF, Maplestory and countless others that I downloaded when I was a kid, I've tried B2P games like GW1 and GW2, although I never really got into GW2, and I've tried P2P games like WoW and FFXIV. I've got to say that in my experience a P2P model ends up providing the best experience for all players and if the only thing that puts you off playing FFXIV is the fact that you would just rather not have to pay (as opposed not wanting to play because you can't afford it, which for all I know may well be the situation with you) then I'd say give it a try anyway. From what I've found playing other games, the F2P games survive off of whatever P2W items they put in the cash shop and if you're not one of the whales prepared to throw down something like $500 to perfect a weapon in a game like Maplestory, then you can really have a bad experience in the game because you just feel like a second class citizen. B2P games simply don't seem to pull the revenue required to have continued, significant, development over a long period of time compared to games where the devs get consistent income. P2P games are the perfect middle ground in my opinion provided they have a significant enough playerbase because the developers can count on the invested players paying a steady amount every month in order to fund the server costs, and development costs. It's without a doubt harder to make a successful P2P MMO, because the competition has been WoW for the last 13 (?) years, but FFXIV is the only game I can remember since WoW's release that has managed to really run a P2P model successfully. Paying every month for a game is my favourite model because then I don't worry that I'm an at objective disadvantage for not buying the P2W items, and I also don't have concerns about the future of the game that I would have playing a B2P game. The sub fee for FFXIV is lower than the average sub fee most games have, or have had in the past, which is nice. There's a shit load of old content which is still relevant in one way or another due to a level scaling mechanic that the game uses (which eliminates my issue I had with WoW, where a new patch/expansion would invalidate all previous content). And then there's FFXIV's infamous Main Story Quests which took me literally 250 hours to complete for the first time (and thats just the story from the base game and first expansion). That's what puts most people off the game, and it does get very tedious at points like Wulff points out, but overall I'd say it's leagues better than any leveling experience I've had in any MMO ever. I remember when I was nearly done with the story last expansion I was really excited because I knew I'd finally be able to actually do the end game content, but the second I handed in the last quest I just felt lost because all I wanted to do was find out what happens next. I'd say if you're the sort of person who really enjoys MMOs then FFXIV is probably the best MMO experience that has come out since WoW, and if you get the oppertunity then you really should try it, because the amount of content you get vs the amount you pay for the game is actually kind of fucking ridiculous, and it's so good to just see an MMO doing stuff right for once, let alone an MMO developed by current day Square Enix.

I'm gonna move all music related shit I post here so I don't clutter other places, and so you guys have an easy place to keep up to date on my very important opinions on which music you should and shouldn't like. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ im gonna be mad now. this guy is dumb, fucking #1 shitter. It really annoys me this video is titled "The Worlds Hardest Working DJ" and the first thing they mention is his shit outside music. Steve Aoki is one of the biggest DJs in the world right now and anyone with any even slight knowledge of the dance scene knows how much of a fucking clown he is. His live sets and shit filled with EPIC FUNNY GAGS LIKE THROWING CAKE AT PPL XD, his tracks are lazy and fit right into the electro house/big room formula and it really fucking pisses me off that this guy is the face of DJs nowadays.

I mean GG is a healthy franchise in itself and Xrd is still getting regular updates, Blazblue hasn't had an installment since 2015 which may not seem that long ago, but Arc may take the view that if it was Blazblue x Guilty Gear then it may give the indication that Xrd is no longer going to be supported. So Blazblue fans get a new installment in a series they like, alongside P4A players and UNIEL players (all of which are to my knowledge less popular franchises than GG, so uniting them seems like a safe move) and Arc get to make the RWBY game they've expressed interest in making in the past without the risk of basing an entire game around one IP which may prove to be less popular than predicted. All the while GG players continue playing Xrd which has shown sustainable popularity which Arc can continue to cash in on. I'd obviously like to see GG characters in there too, but I'm not less hyped for the game because of it. Arc really seem to be knocking it out of the park recently. Xrd is a top quality game, Dragonbahl as it stands looks absolutely mind blowing, and has captured the interest of people outside of the FGC (which is amazing considering that Arc games have always been very niche compared to other fighting games) and BBCTG looks extremely promising from the little that's been shown. With Tekken 7, KoF14, GGXrd all out right now, and Dragonball and Blazblue on the way, there really has been no better time to play non-capcom games.
