Raison d'être

Pretty ignominious of Valve to just have SPUF redirect to that shithole, I had hoped (but didn't expect) they'd at least have a neat little redirect page set up. Something with the engineer's face on it. I suppose that would've cost a couple bucks though so I can see why they skipped it.

I already have all the base operators, so that's why I didn't mention them. At the moment I'm thinking it'll be Jackal then Blackbeard, Valkyrie before that if I feel I can play her well enough. I know Blackbeard's kinda shit but so am I, and since I intend to get and play all the characters I'd rather get him earlier so I don't handicap myself with him later, if that makes any sense. Echo does seem neat but I always play with a friend who said he plans to get him next, so I'll have to pick him up later. And in general I like the stock defenders more than the attackers, so I don't feel a need to get a DLC one yet.

I was considering Jackal (neat guns) or Blackbeard (same + ability won't fuck your team over if you die). I know Valkyrie's really good but I feel that I don't know the maps well enough to get full use out of cameras and blocking someone competent from doing so, so she'll be soon, but not first.

Really though, I'm shit at the game and I can barely run it but it's fun. Got about 8k renown and thinking about what my first DLC operator will be.

I loved going around stealing everything that wasn't nailed down. Good money too, can liquidate that sweet APC you stole for big GMP if you ever need to.

I was pretty much the opposite, I liked most of the missions but felt a lot of the side ops were drags, since I did (or at least tried to do) both as no-kill no-alerts. Some missions were awful to do stealth but most of them were pretty decent. But I mean that's a fundamental gameplay difference, some people will say they want more action some will say less, and it's hard or downright impossible to get the balance right. What bugs me about the credits spoilers is how useless they are. I doubt anyone would say "Sure, yeah, spoil me, great idea!" It'd be so easy to fix too - just show the credits for the spoiled characters when they appear, like in MGS3. Literally would take maybe ten minutes and would improve the game so much.

Looking back on it by far the worst part of MGS5 was the pre-mission credit sequence literally telling you who's going to be in the mission you're about to play regardless of whether you're supposed to know or not. I get it Kojima you want it to be like an action movie but for fuck's sake don't spoil shit so blatantly, since you'd get shit like: Mission: Go to abandoned village and steal grain. Starring: Kazuhira Miller Revolver Ocelot How the fuck did they think it was a good idea?

I had a dream where I went to a stadium/airport (where there were about 40 blue Toyota trucks parked outside) to find out what cars were racing in the NASCAR race going on there so I could tell my friends (I think our car was racing). I couldn't see the track to check, though, because there was a carnival in the way. I decided to go through and on the way play a game. I went into a haunted house-like thing and went through a secret passageway. That was a mistake and I had to figure out how to get out of a shitload of rooms, most of which I don't remember. I do remember dropping into one and seeing some kids run out through an exit that closed after them. Another was a wrecked hallway with precursor orbs (from Jak and Daxter) and Spargus rats (from the same series) hunting for me in them. I went out of that hallway via an elevator shaft before the rats noticed me, and landed in an abandoned parking garage. Then some evil force shadow being started following me and I spotted a Mario doll in a dumpster with a USB and a key. I grabbed the USB but couldn't get the key because the being was too close behind me. Every now and then another hovering being would appear and follow me (I remember an inquisitor and a customs agent being two of them). Eventually I decided to forget the key and do battle with the original being. I ran at him and started beating the shit out of him (although I don't think it did anything) then I woke up. Come to think of it, that's how a lot of my dreams end. Try to run from thing -> can't -> begin battle with thing -> wake up. Wonder what it means.

Ah, good luck then. I once had a laptop which had a faulty battery, had to keep it plugged in. One day the charger's wire burnt through the cheap insulation and almost burned the house down. But, dad repaired it, told me it was fixed, and to his credit, it never again burnt through. Not that I believed him one bit. I kept usage to a minimum after that until the old piece of crap finally kicked the bucket for good. Which was for the best, since young me's idea of electrical fire suppression was a cup of water.

I've gone almost a year without a GPU, but I couldn't imagine a year without a computer. Why not just buy a shitty prebuilt to get you through until you can afford a decent one?

I doubt you have these in Europe, but Goody's always cures my semi-frequent headaches. Maybe they have generic powder brands there you can get - work much better than pills in my experience.
