    Dall-E 2 (not the current mass availability one, but the current closed beta one) scares me, cause computers aren't supposed to have that power.

    There's some good content there for sure but the current state of balance in the game is absolutely miserable. The release reminds me a lot of Afterbirth+'s initial release where they just added difficulty for no reason other than "I thought people liked hard stuff!". Literally the only stream of information about the update is in their dumb discord server which I aint gonna join.

    I have a license but I've never had a car of my own. Mostly because I didn't get my license until I was 22 so I was already a NEET at that point and couldn't afford one, and the store and bank were a couple blocks away anyway.

     

    Now that I'm not a NEET, I'm in the Bay Area and owning a car is a pain in the ass because of $5 a gallon gas and the cost of parking and insurance. Plus I get a free Clipper card from my school... overall there's not really any reason to sink hundreds of dollars a month into a car to get stuck in traffic. I'd like to have one someday though - a nice 3000GT VR4 that will cost a ton of money in upkeep and be impracticable for everyday use. But it'll be cool as shit.

     

    I did have to sleep in my dad's old Aztek (coincidentally, the same one I learned to drive in) over Christmas, though. Almost froze to death the first two nights but it was fairly comfy once I got a sleeping bag.

    I can understand some like my dad who got his teeth messed up due medicine when he was young or broken due karate tournaments, but most of the time are due people not wanting to brush their teeth at least once a day.

     

    I brush twice a day now, floss, and use mouthwash... but when I was a kid I never brushed. I would turn the water on to fool my parents but I wouldn't brush. I was an idiot.

    Coincidentally I also went to the dentist today.  Dentist just looked in my mouth and said "you need to make another appointment but don't worry we'll fix it up" then left.  This was after x-rays and stuff so she wasn't basing it off nothing, but she literally explained nothing and just assumed that I'd pay for another appointment.  I didn't even know it was for a filling until I got to the receptionist.

     

    E-mailed and said if I'm going to be treated like that I'm changing dentists.  Got one of the most apologetical calls I've ever gotten in my life.  Also got some clarity on the issue: the filling is for something that's kind of been "on the edge" for a while (which was mentioned in a previous visit) and just recently broke through the enamel, so it's a pretty minor filling.  I was ready to call bullshit on the whole thing since the level of discomfort that I have now is basically nothing, as compared to the cavity I had when I stopped going to the dentist for five years, so I was wondering if she was just trying to get money out of me.

     

    Still haven't decided if I'll switch dentists or not.  I think this dentist has ridiculously poor bedside manner, but the other dentists there are really good.  Too bad that they made it a crapshoot about which one actually sees you.

     

    Depends on how much of a pain in the ass changing dentists is. Maybe she was just having a shitty day.
