Payday has really weird shout mechanics. If a bunch of people are right in front of you but one person is way out to the edge of your field of view, you'll have almost no effect (save for the civ you were looking at and the one who's far off).

I enjoy watching sports, but I'm not a big fan of the massive amount of Sports Shouting that goes on for things like football. I'm particularly fond of tennis, soccer, and golf for active viewing. Football makes decent background entertainment, too.

The way I see it, there's one crippling flaw: the plot was more scattered than a game of 52 card pickup. Everyone was in different locations doing different unrelated things, so there was little reason to pay attention to what other people were doing. As a result, generic interest was dampened. BfNY at least had the characters in the same city. SiS had them in the same...galaxy? I think it could work with a small group of people on one ship, or many people who are all pursuing the same objective. I suppose the latter is what we were planning to do, but things didn't pick up quickly enough for that to happen.

Again, that's mostly a thing of the past. My old wireless mouse (think 8-9 years ago) ate batteries like a small child eats cookies, whilst my new one just needs an overnight recharge in most cases.
