It's National "Mute TF2" Day. Also known as the birthday thing where people spam the noisemaker.

Holy shit it's good, or holy shit it's bad? I haven't seen it, I'm still a hundred years in the past with Aang and buddies.

I don't want to sound like a stick in the mud, but what exactly makes the Borderlands Pre-Sequel its own game? So, new story and characters, fair enough, but that's what the DLC packs for Borderlands 2 already offer. Plus, it's a midquel - not exactly the newest and freshest of stories when you know how it begins and how it ends. As for the characters, I can't judge those (except for Claptrap - I mean, really?) And when I was looking for other selling points, all I could find was "low gravity gameplay" and "new ice and laser capabilities". I mean... it's DLC. That's really what it is. I don't have a problem with that, I'm just kind of saddened that Gearbox is asking such a high price for what I could easily confuse for a fan mod.

All aboard the feels train. (That spoiler warning is important, don't watch if you're not ready to get on the feels train yet.)

Saigns are a bunch of servers in TF2 that are infamous for allowing you to pay-to-win. Becoming a premium member gives you reserved slots and special text color and stuff, nothing out of the ordinary, but then it also gives you immunity to votes for scrambles or kicks - yes, as long as an admin isn't around, you can do whatever you like and nobody can make you leave - and to top it off, on their non-quickplay servers (i.e. most) you just flat out get buffed. Health on kills, faster movement speed, unlimited ammo... Tis a heap of bollocks.

What happened to TF2 guides on Youtube having some kickass music and nice easy-to-read textual descriptions about what's going on? Why are most guides nowadays just stock gameplay footage with some guy mumbling into a half-dead microphone? Shame. >: It's like editing is some black art that's been banned from the minds and hearts of men or some shit.

I had to draft a themed team for something in the future. Purely theorycrafting until ORAS comes out, but I'm happy with what I chose. Spoiler Masquerain (Intimidate, Focus Sash) Quiver Dance Sticky Web Baton Pass Ice Beam Volcarona (Flame Body, Charti Berry) Quiver Dance Fiery Dance Bug Buzz Whirlwind Lilligant (Chlorophyll, Lum Berry) Petal Dance Quiver Dance Teeter Dance Aromatherapy Hawlucha (Unburden, Sitrus Berry) Swords Dance Feather Dance Flying Press Steel Wing Cacturne (Water Absorb, Shell Bell) Swords Dance Teeter Dance Sucker Punch Revenge Alteria (Cloud Nine, Alteriaite) Dragon Dance Feather Dance Dragon Claw Return ARE YOU READY FOR A DANCE OFF?! (no flying moves allowed) The basis was the theme, not how "competitively viable" it is. I'm better at losing with style than actually winning. Oh, and I needed the appropriate background music.

We'll never forget you, Jerry. You were the best of us. Am I the only one who feels the Razorback would be great good at least somewhat viable if enemy spies couldn't see it? Maybe the Sniper straps a blank mask to it or something, I dunno.

I get the feeling that Game Grumps playing P.T. is going to be quite divisive. Either Arin's just trying to have some fun and Danny is a chronic complainer, or Danny is clearly uncomfortable and Arin is being a dick. Regardless, it's entertaining.

Even better than before. Seems Disney have finally produced their single kilogram of mercy and kindness to new licenses per year, and imparted it to Gravity Falls with a bigger budget and more advertising. First 3 episodes of season 2 are out and already, they have some really funny moments, some pretty exciting and scary stuff (episode 2 is basically a teen-rated version of The Thing) and some genuinely heartwarming stuff. Plus Zombie Soos is fucking hilarious. Actually, if I can get on my soapbox right now, I think children's cartoons are probably getting better and better with every year. I mean, sure, the classics of yesteryear are still great, but just thinking of 2005 onwards, we've had Avatar: The Last Airbender as well as Avatar: The Legend of Korra, then we've had MLP: Friendship is Magic, Wonder Over Yonder, Adventure Time, Phineas and Ferb... I mean, there's still crap getting shoveled around, and live action shows for children seems to be going in the opposite direction by somehow getting worse and worse at time goes on, but I felt it'd be worth noting that cartoons are generally improving as time goes on.

God, I fucking love this show.

Mark of the Ninja is 80% off. Arguably one of the best stealth games ever made. Might want to take a look.

I believe the reason behind it is a "learn from your mistakes" thing. The lessened health subtly encourages you to play more cautiously this time, while the increments aren't so large that things become impossible - a tenth is not too significant in a game where most enemies will quarters and thirds in a single hit, but it's still enough for you to go "woah, okay, let's not mess around this time." I would say it works with mixed results - sometimes, the subtle change is enough to push you into making fewer mistakes, and thus making more progress. Unfortunately, at other times, it just makes a difficult section even more difficult (especially for bosses, and doubly so for bosses that are far away from the nearest bonfire, where being whittled down by enemies can make or break your success.) It also doesn't account for invading phantoms, which is a random variable. I see why they did and I personally like it (especially since they did add a means to counter it in-game with several items) but I understand why some people dislike it. [/protentiousgamedesignstudentboringtheorybollocks] Five Nights at Freddy's can go alongside P.T. and Alien: Isolation in "Recent or Upcoming Horror Games That Are Probably Really Good But I Will Never Play Because I'm More Cowardly Than Shaggy". Also thought this was worth sharing: Excellent Games That Don't Exist. I'd totally play that.

Aye, I really do like Metaknight. People calling "he's broken because he has his own tier" has about as much weight nowadays as "Aegislash is banned because Smogon said so."

I do sort of agree with you, but Titanfall has fluid and easy-to-use parkour (double jumps, wallrunning, and wallclinging) along with the Burn Cards as an equivilent to Killstreaks, serving as up to three bonuses a player can use during a match that last until death, making them rewarding but risky. Advanced Warfare is, ironically, kind of dated now.

Here's a guide for the alpha stuff.

It would appear custom games now work with friend lobbies in the client. We should get together for some Pudge Wars or something.
