I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be perfect. Even without official support, it would work just like any other game. LT/RT bound to M1/M2, the 4 buttons bound to QWER, the d-pad bound to 4 item slots (probably wouldn't work if you have any more items than that), and left bumpers for unit cycling. Obviously it wouldn't work with champions like Meepo or Chen, but I don't see any reason you couldn't play Sven or Skeleton King with a controller.
