I would still wear Bald Scout unironically. I think Scout looks good without a hat sometimes.
-
Popped Collar Med would be cool. And I'd wear Bald Scout if nobody wants it.

Friendly Reminder that the class updates, at the time, "ruined the game forever" too. They're remembered fondly, but people forget that most of those things were busted, broken, or underpowered on release.

On the one hand this has me interested in playing again. On the other, the servers I used to frequent died, so I would have to play in pubs. Anyone know of any decent community servers? Preferably with custom maps and without HLXshit statchat spam? Inb4 "No because valve/quickplay killed them."

SPUFcom Report Base Assault 2: Electric Boogaloo (Alternative Title: They called him Doctor Love) Doctor Cube MVP. Let's just hope the aliens aren't too mad.

SPUFcom Report Live Tonight! At the Alien Base, Chrysalid Six and the Thin Mints. Fortunately, the Commander Woke up from this nightmare and realized that we haven't even started the Base Assault yet. We can only hope his nightmare isn't a vision of things to come. *Cough*

Squad Sight Snipers are actually really good. You can still use pistols for shooting or overwatch, or just fulldash anytime you need to move, and once you're set up in the back you just pop heads all day. Unless people drop in behind you or squids hump your face, watch for that. Heavies are extremely useful against robits once they have Shredder missiles and HEAT ammo. Heat ammo lets you deal good damage, assuming you hit. But that's what scopes and medals that boost aim are for. Shredder rockets let everyone else on your team do more damage to whatever it hits, usually a big alien robot.

SPUFcom Report Squad Sniper Rynjin "Specter" Rynjin has become death incarnate. To borrow a phrase from Dr. Mobius "I see you. Now, I end you!" Squad Heavy Binary "Casino" Coder beats the house odds and DakkaDakkaDakkas everything to death despite Heavy's innate lowish accuracy. Squad Support Idiot Cube hasn't earned his randomly generated nickname yet, Aliens seem to hate him and constantly shoot at his poofy Guile hair almost killing him on multiple occasions. The new Squad Assault ICB Moose has finally earned his shotgun, just in time to fight giant bugs! The Wittynator Mk1 is still under construction unfortunately, It's just as well I don't have all six Squad slots unlocked yet.

Cloakers are especially weak to headshots. It may sound obvious, but Cloakers take four times as much damage to the head than the body. Most other units only take double or less.

Starting a new game of XCOM, who wants to be
mauled by aliensin my squad?-
My guy looks like Marvin the Martian in disguise.
Uh, I mean, he looks like a totally normal human with a creative outlook on hairstyles!

Someone posted this F4 trailer analysis. Looks like gameplay is going to be Fallout: Skyrim Edition, or at least using a similar levelup system. Still looks fun, though.

Ryu is incredibly goddamn fun and a great addition. The inputs are cake if you're familiar with them, the only trouble is keeping track of your facing in the smash environment. Can't say I'll play Lucas much, something about Lucas and Ness's movesets never clicked with me. Roy feels really good this time around, fast and powerful, but falls like a lead weight. So pretty much his attributes from melee, with the added bonus of not being glitched to fuck this time like he was in melee. He feels a lot less like Marth#3 and more like Ganondorf is to Cap, or Link is to Toon Link. Comparedto Lucina who feels exactly like Marth, except without his sweetspot mechanic. But yeah, bring on the new guys Sakurai, because Ryu is really goddamn fun.
-
People who hacked the game to play Roy Early have been saying he's Luigified. Less Marth/Lucina more Mario/Luigi

Hoxton breakout isn't even good for experience anymore with the exp changes. You get more XP and Cash for equivalent time investment with a full run of Rats Or more over time by securing moderate amount of bags in Cook Off / White Crossmas.

I dunno, it seems a little character actiony. But maybe that's what they're going for? Or maybe the Super Move reel just makes it look like Devil May Hunt.

Don't get DMC3 on pc, it's a broke dick piece of shit port. If you liked DR2, Off the Record is more or less the "Director's cut" There's new stuff, some Quality of life improvements, new/shuffled survivor locations, and a greased-up dildo launcher. Street Fighter is reasonably easy to pick up as far as fighting games go. It's no smash brothers, but it's still very accessible, It does require a controller however. Bionic Commando Rearmed was actually a really good remake of the NES game. It's tough as nails though, gitgud or die trying. Obviously you never played Lost Planet 2 back in its heyday. It was Left4Dead with mechs, monster hunting, and grappling hooks. Too bad it's not actually on sale. -
Adventures in PoE, Party Dynamics are working well, as a result I managed to clear most of the Act1 areas I skipped and get wicked loot. After figuring out that the direction you leave an area effects which paths are open, I found SideQuest Castle. After a long sequence of sneaking, fighting, and talking, I help out robin hood and kill the lord of the Castle. What a chump, now I have his Sword. After cleaning up what was left of Act1's sidequests and bashing my face against the endless roads a little, I start tackling Act2 proper. So far this has involved giving a young boy a knife, stealing from thespians, stumbling into a bandit den, and stabbing rainclouds for their water. Judging from the Boxart, I believe I've stumbled into my next party member, although they're being a whiner and won't let me recruit them yet. I hope they're a paladin, because I want to try their Get The Fuck Up "Reviving Exhortation" skill.
