So I beat Wasteland 2, my reflections.
The Good
-Arizona is great
-Interesting characters and locales
The Bad
-The Main story peters out
-Plot holes everywhere
The Ugly
-Like, Half of LA is still full of potentially gamebreaking bugs.
I can't help but feel like if LA wasn't a stretch goal, then the *main* story wouldn't be so contrived and random.
There's really only one story relevant location in LA, and that could easily have been planted in AZ, and honestly, it kinda feels like they broke up the *main* story in a haphazard way just to make it fit.
While AZ feels lovingly crafted and alive, LA feels comparatively lifeless and rushed out.
That said, I found all the story towns fun and interesting.
It threw a lot of things I wasn't expecting my way, which was a welcome change of pace.
So while the *main* story isn't great, the lore and in-game events surrounding the wasteland and locales are.
It's not perfect, but I can easily recommend it to anybody who really liked games in the style of F1/2.
I got about 60 hours out of my first playthrough, and there was still stuff I missed because of jumping the gun.
