I liked it a lot :/ played it until my disk for it died, that is I was gonna rebuy it on pc, but I didn't want to use origin. At least I still have my copy on 360, jacking tanks and helicopters is great fun. The biggest issue it had was trying to compete with GTA4 which had come out only months prior.

Painkiller Franchise is on sale again. I can recommend Painkiller Black, especially since it's two bucks right now.

After replaying republic commando I have to wonder how it achieved cult classic status. It's short, has short linear levels, and the squad tactics boil down to "click on this and the area is super easy". And if you're one of those types who hate regenerating shields, it's got those too. I still like it, but it hasn't aged very well.

I really like the new gasmask revision. The goggles remind me of swimming goggles though. Might be solved by texturing? I have this mental image of it being a welding goggle + Gasmask combo.

Battleblock Theatre is wonderful.

Boot into a livedisc/flashdrive and copy them to a different drive. Once your files are backed up, you can muck about with the HDD and windows installation trying to fix it with no worries.
