I'm suing SPUFpowered Inc for it's traumatizing, and unmoral use of skeletal structures in it's new "spookypowered" theme. I was given no warning that such horrific images would be included, and thus feel entitled to compensation for my mental and physical (the fright gave me a stroke) damage.

I have on good authority that SpufPowered Inc is a red cover organization. They probably burn american flags and kick puppies.
-
That's impossible, skeletons don't actually exist. I'd like to ask the court to point and laugh at this man's humiliation.

Clearly you're all supportive of the gross and immoral actions that have taken place this morning.

The defense is assaulting the plaintiff. I declare a hella sweet mistrial.

Officers will not be indicted in no-knock raid that leaves then-19-month old deformed

I agree that we shouldn't freely hands the cops APCs to make donut runs with, but this isn't about regular police. Generally speaking, the police want to play it safe when it comes to unknown situations. As long as things don't go wrong (such as what happened here), there aren't many negative consequences beyond the risk of appearing to use force overzealously. If they're going after someone with a record of illegal firearm possession, then they're not going to send a cop with a baton and taser to knock on the front door. I agree. -

Where is the militarization? SWAT teams are equipped to handle situations that regular officers can't- which neccessitates some degree of armament- and in this case the military power they exercised was limited to a can that makes a bright light and loud noise. of police. Just police. I do think SWAT are being used too liberally. And I'm not really talking about this situation. It's just a point that the journalist brought up. -

Precisely. But hey, blaming the cops is easy. Militarization is still a problem, though. -

Yeaaaaah. Militarization of police is stupid. They should be given equipment and training needed to protect themselves, but that's it. Miltary equipment and tactics shouldn't even be a thing unless they know that the people they're raiding are fortified and armed, like gang strongholds. And sending swat after a small marijuana farm in somebody's home? Really? This is dumb, though. I'm going to assume it was an un-announced raid? The police did their job by shooting somebody about to shoot them, but if he had absolutely no warning that they were police, then jesus. I don't see that as a big example of police injustice, though. That was just a dumb situation. -
