Well, I beat Half-Life 2: Even Half-Lifier. As far as I know the most noticeable change is that the credits had more people in them. I guess now I have to play the whole game again with commentary on to see if it's any good. OH DARN.

Half-Life 2 Update is good, I guess, but that's mainly because it gave me an excuse to play HL2 again after like five years. It's certainly not an "HD remake", or even a significant remake at all. Whatever graphical updates have been made are unnoticeable (at least to me) without a side-by-side comparison. I feel like the physics engine is a little...wobblier. It seems like it's harder to jump on physics objects and stay there...which is a problem for a lot of sections of the game. I haven't listened to the community commentary yet, but I have to assume it will involve a lot of fawning over how awesome and creative Valve was ten years ago. I think it would be more interesting to see what the developers themselves have to say ten years later. But hey, it's free*. *If you already have HL2, which you do, because you have Steam.

Deleting nested quotes is a pain. You have to click the red "insert paragraph" button above a quote, then put the cursor inside that quote to delete it. This will likely result in a significant increase in quote pyramids, which will of course lead to the swift collapse of society. I want my magic format-removing light switch back.

Honestly? I'd probably kill myself after a few weeks. What's the point of going on? I can't keep a power plant running by myself, and I can't bring everyone back.
