They built 2 towers, 1 unfinished, went after mines, only built 1 house and 1 barracks, trained teeny tiny defense force, never upgraded castle, never tried to attack unless I was attacking, then they sent their workers at me. I had dragons.

Well, if that was the case then you'd be on board with stuffing the TF2 and DOTA forums back into Gaming Discussion as sub-forums like they were in the first place. Rep & Paper has more been for tabletop RPGs using a set system done through the forums instead of blanket RPGs. Creating a separate "Forum Roleplay" sub-forum of "Forum Games" would make more sense and allow other roleplays to be created now that they have a set place. Yes, I'm arguing for more sub-forums. We have a distinct lack of them, which is exactly why the main page is so cluttered. Turning some forums into sub-forums, we can easily clean up the main index by removing 4 "forums" that would sit better as sub-forums. Pony Stable into Entertainment Theater TF2 and DOTA into Gaming Discussion SPUFurb into The Drawing Room Congrats, forum is cleaned up, but the moved forums are still accessible in only 1 click.

Just because there aren't any other group projects right now doesn't make my argument any less valid, there could be some in the near future now that we have some newer members. SubSPUF In Space is a new group project, but having all of those threads scattered about The Drawing Board doesn't make any sense, especially if it's going to have multiple threads for multiple locations to keep things more organized. You keep trying to "organize" clutter with more clutter.

Except that "Group Projects" covers a wider array of things. It could be a story, art collaboration, game mod, any number of things. There is a major distinction because Group Projects are not necessarily games. Do you just not like ideas that aren't your own? Because at this point I see that there's absolutely nothing we can do to change how this forum is laid out and still make it sensible, though it seems everyone's definition of "sensible" differs from each other's.

Would it be possible to limit the size of quote pyramids? They can be quite useful, but annoying when people don't keep them to a reasonable size. Say, maximum of 3 quotes?

Okay, so could someone please fill me in on why there "isn't a good way to organize gaming"? What are you guys seeing that I'm not? I'm seriously starting to get confused here.

Keep the Trading Post its own separate forum, since it's not discussion. Merge TF2 and DOTA2 forums back into Gaming Discussion as sub-forums, this cleans up the front page while still allowing 1-click access to either of them. The rest of the suggestions are good.

SPUFurb holds all of our info, but aside from the fact that our Writer and Artist aren't Arting or Writing, the entire thing's been stuck on life support ever since Skye handed it off.

My point still stands that I'd have to go through the Gaming Discussion and then filter all the extra crap out. It makes things needlessly complicated, and that's not exactly what I'd call having things run better than they were before.

It honestly makes more sense to me that if I want to go look at TF2 related stuff, then I go to the TF2 forum, not go to "Gaming Discussion" and search through potentially pages of threads looking for anything marked with the TF2 tag, or having to use the Search function to narrow things down. Likewise with DotA. I mean, we could go back to having the TF2 and DotA forums being sub-forums of the Gaming Discussion forum, but I don't see much sense in merging everything.

Except we generally have one thread for each other game, which becomes that game's hub. Both TF2 and DotA2 are much larger than the other games and generally have many more threads on them.

Eeeehh, I dunno. It sounds like it'd make for one helluva clutter with various things scattered about. I like the current system of having the main two "sub-forums" separate so that it's easier to find content related to either of those titles.

I'm going to have to agree with Raz. The Saloon split was long overdue, but I don't get why there's suddenly all this change going on that nobody really asked for. I'm also starting to see a pattern here. We get a system we're comfortable with and stick with it for a while, then suddenly you decide to change things up, suddenly RULES and moving shit around when there wasn't much of a problem to begin with. I get wanting the forum to run as smoothly as possible, but stop trying to fix what ain't broke.

I have to say that I find it strange that we're getting a rule on those kinds of threads just now, considering we haven't gotten one of those since the original was posted, if I recall correctly.

The thing about rules is that they are needed because someone has done them. Stupid warning stickers? Someone did that. Obvious rules/laws? Someone did that. Shit that should be common sense but apparently needs a reminder anyway? Someone did that.

About half an hour ago I was getting Database Errors that didn't reappear when I refresh'd. I'll try and remember to get a screenshot of it if it happens again.

What the hell, I'll make my own. In no real specific order; 1) Okami: Beautiful graphic style, great mechanics, combat is very fluid, story is massive and rather good. Easily my favorite game ever. 2) Portal 2: Improves on the first game, good humor, loads of replayability with the inclusion of Steam Workshop, co-op is a blast. 3) Civ V Brave New World: Adds a shitton of stuff, revamps the Culture victory and adds some extra diplomacy, loads of new civs to play as, great for some real gameplay once you get out of vanilla. 4) Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance: Great expansion, adds a 4th faction (Which is my favorite faction), new units and structures, balance changes, new campaign. Great large-scale RTS that can have you field an army of hundreds massive walkers which spew death and destruction. 5) Ms. Splosion Man: Sequel to Splosion Man, difficult, fast-paced platformer where your only ability is to 'Splode. Humorous and adds a few new things from the first game. Still has co-op.

No Gold Magnets, limited to the speed at which you can click coins, also won't last very long considering you have no means to kill zombies. There's a better build that involves Gloom Shrooms, gotta find it somewhere.
