Update: Decided to instead of using the USB trick and instead use the ehternet and download the driver again. And it managed to work. Christ that was annoying, but thank you Witty for the help.

So while purging my laptop of junk, I became a giant idiot and accidentally uninstalled the "Atheros Driver". This has completely removed my ability to acess the internet on my laptop, and the rest of the internet isn't helping at all. I tried a system restore, but all of my restore points were mysteriously deleted. Any advice would be great.

No, it can't connect at all. It looks like the network button with a red X and when I click it, it only says "No connections are available".

Okay, so I managed to find what appears to be the correct driver on Toshiba's website. It installed fine, but nothing has changed. The network icon still says theres no connections.

Well fortunately I can use my friends laptop. I have a Toshiba Windows 8.1 laptop. For clarity, the exact model is a Satellite S70D-A
