Yep.

This story sucks, I'm rewriting it.

Instead of wallowing in self-hatred about it, humanity does something, and saves the planet.

But then they've realized that they've put nature above themselves, and now all of the world is starving because we don't have farmland because that destroys the environment, overcrowding because we have no living space because that destroys the environment, and then 90% of the world's population dies.

Then, the remaining 10% decide that they don't want to see billions of people die like that, so they say "fuck the planet" and begin expanding once more.

Then the story repeats.
