I've always rolled Scorch Shot or Shotgun myself. I was never one for the flashy combos of the Flare Gun or the zany jumps of the Detonator.

His video "Why Hightower Never Ends" is ultimately what pushed me to start TF2. I had been watching Star_ and Jerma for a week or so before that but wasn't fully convinced, but once I saw that video, I was like "Holy shit! You can do that? I wanna do that!"

For the "regenerate health as Medic" contract I just kept fall damaging myself in Upward spawn.

Boy howdy, his editing is really appealing and I'm hyped that he's back for real maybe this time. On the same note as the video, I sometimes find myself looking back at when I first started playing TF2 and now, and I realize that despite so many cosmetic changes (banana hats, banana war paints...lots of bananas) and so many weapon additions, the core gameplay and its values remain the same. It's been 10 years, and Scout continues to be the DM destroyer, Soldier continues to be the jack-of-all-trades, every class still does what've done best after all these years, albeit with some healthy additions of new playstyles (Gunboats, Gunslinger, the newly-introduced Thermal Thruster). Even Pyro, after Jungle Inferno, still fills the role he was intended for. It's just that now he can actually do it and use his primary as a primary and not an airblast cannon.

Had a dream that I caught a juvenile nile crocodile with my bare hands. Cool.

I don't see the appeal of the NES and SNES mini.

I mean the only Strange I need as in the only one I actually value. I've had my Australian Sticky Launcher for like 3 years, been happy since then.

I was in a similar situation once. Put a Professional Killstreak Kit on my Iron Bomber, and about 4 months later the strange version came out. Straight strange weapon, no strangifier, so I was like "Aww fuck that, I'm not buying another name tag, desc tag, and killstreak kit" so I just never got a Strange Iron Bomber. Really the only Strange I need is my Sticky Launcher.

I think Pyro is in a good spot casual-wise now. His flamethrowers actually shred and don't just fire soap bubbles at your enemies. The Dragon's Fury is fun and has around the same sustained DPS of the flamethrower but there are still times where I find myself thinking "man, I would've gotten that guy with the flamethrower", so it's definitely not overpowered or outshines the other options. I think the projectile could use some tweaking though (very large hitbox, but also buggy and sometimes just plain does not hit/collides with stairs). The Thermal Thruster is really fun to use with the Backburner, and I think it's fine in pubs, but to see more competitive use, would probably need lower deploy and holster time. But then you get a deal where now you have reliable flying Phlog bombs in casual, but not competitive. I haven't really seen many Flare Guns since now you can't airlock with M2. What makes them better now?
