Did they end up explaining anything important or developing anything substantial about the world? I saw a bit in the beginning where it was about not-Kaban who mysteriously shows up like Kaban (except it isn't a mystery, because we already know where Kaban came from) and it was obvious that they were trying to bury the events of season 1 as hard as possible. But I've heard that Kaban shows up later so presumably that have to do something with that. Spoil me as hard as possible, I don't care.

TIAM IV: Guydiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cockmongler

Raison is crazy. But in an unrelated matter it took me forever to find this thread because it was at almost the very bottom of the main page for some reason. -
To stop a gaben

My general impression is that Western fans tend to really like parts 4, 7 and 2 (in that order) but don't particularly care for parts 3 and 5. Japanese fans on the other hand absolutely love 3 and 5. Is that about right?

Who was it that said that modern day is cyberpunk without any of the cool stuff? Because that's absolutely right. -

That's a blast from the past. You might as well include Stardock Impulse (aka "Gamestop App").

Oh right, I never updated this. Anyway, my dad's computer mysteriously started working again on its own a couple of days later. We couldn't replicate the failure to start. Just to do something, and since the computer had had some hard drive troubles anyway, we replaced the old harddrive with a solid state drive and transferred everything over. Seems to work fine now, fingers crossed that it will continue to do so.

This is the same thing Jay brought up when I sent him the Easter Egg Hunt video. -
Saw news of Vampire: the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2. Pretty hyped at first because I honestly did not expect to ever get a sequel to Bloodlines or another major V:TM game in general. Then I saw that the release date is over a year from now, and that they are already taking pre-orders. Then I saw that they are already taking money for season passes. Then I saw that the publisher is Paradox. Yeah, fuck this.

New Toy Story trailer has convinced me of two things: -They are actually trying to make a good movie, not just a cash grab. -This movie is completely pointless. Everything that could be said in the Toy Story universe has already been said. This is just a rehash of the themes of Toy Story 1 and 2 except now it's set in an amusement park.

What would be the perfect ending is if they intentionally delay all substantial DLC to be released until after the one-year mark, with maybe just a few cosmetics to technically deliver on the "one year of free DLC" promise.

The worst Epic exclusive in terms of dickishness was Phoenix Point, the X-COM spiritual successor. They made a big deal about being primarily crowdfunded and in support backers through their choice of either GoG or Steam keys, unlike many crowdfunding developers who would only provide Steam keys. Then after they get their funding, they take Epic's money to make it an Epic exclusive. If you want to get an idea of the fan reaction to this, check out this announcement video: You might get some hints from the like/dislike ratio, basically every comment, and the fact that the video is now unlisted. I've also heard that the developers got paid enough by Epic that even if they had to refund every single backer they would still come out ahead.

The OP for One Punch Man season 2 looks pretty good:

Note that you can get The Outer Worlds on the windows store (and I think a few of the other "epic exclusives"). Wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that Microsoft is negotiating with Epic on this and that this is their way of striking against Valve. If so, it would only make sense for Microsoft's stuff to vanish everywhere except windows store and epic, at least for new releases.

On the bright side, being an obsidian game, it will probably take a year for the bugs to be patched out anyway.

Modern technology is all about solving problems that no one needed solved, and ending up with a worse experience than what was already available. Unfortunately normies eat this sort of development up, so it might actually work, especially as it's Google doing. (By "work" I don't mean "is at all worthwhile to use" but "is popular").
