Thoughts. Character redesigns: Brendan: I'm... Kind of disappointed. I mean, it was inevitable that I would be as Brendan is my favorite PC of all time, but I'm probably just wallowing in nostalgia. It's objectively okay, but the tan skin is bugging me. It makes sense given Hoenn's climate, but eh. I just miss classic Brendan. May: Also disappointing. The hair and bandana changes are bad, and the short is meh. At least they kinda kept her bike shorts. Here's hoping the original hair colors, styles, and outfits are available as customizations. Teams: I never interacted with Team Magma much. Given my loyalty to Sapphire, but the new designs look okay. The admins are pretty swell, as are the grunts. Maxie looks like a fucking nerd, he's worse now. Aqua looks great. The grunts are ok, and the admins are fantastic. I'm going to miss old Shelly, though. Archie is worse too. Not horrible, but he reminds me of the Gramaryes from Ace Attorney. Steven looks baller as per usual, but I'm sad that the simple designs of yesteryear are being abandoned for characters. Megas: Mega Diancie looks ok. Not much else to say about that now. Mega Sceptile looks friggin baller. I've never been the biggest fan of the Treeko line, but this looks really cool. Mega Swampert's design is ok, but the ability is lackluster. It'll be ok ingame with Kyogre.

The last weapons they released seem to be specifically geared towards new mechanics and interesting gameplay. I mean, the Loose Cannon, Rescue Ranger, and Vaccinator are all really interesting to play with and are pretty balanced. I'm thinking we'll be getting more like them.
