The Official Random Image Thread!! SPUF style

Friend sent me this (cropped) screenshot a few days ago. -
Nah, some surfer dude. I rarely see them get hit by cars when they're not pursuing anyone.
-
I was playing GTA Online and there was a cop who stood in the middle of the road. A civilian saw him and tried to brake hard but hit him slightly going at about 2 MPH. The cop screamed "LET'S SEE THOSE HANDS", whipped out his shotgun, and blasted the civilian, who screamed and his dead body caused the car horn to go off.

I play it a lot but I already have a crew I always play with.

I want to say this is wrong, but I feel strangely underqualified. -
I'd grab a 550w one just to be safe. 450w probably wouldn't cause any problems, but it's nice to have a little extra. The only performance problems from going too high I can think of is the loss of efficiency since PSUs tend to have the best efficiency near their max power.

I feel bad for the blacks that aren't rioting. Being told by some privileged "journalist" your race is too stupid and impulsive to peacefully organize and instead must SMASH WHITEY SMASH!!!! would make me feel like shit.

I set my GPU's fans to use more power to keep the GPU a bit cooler and whenever I play GTA V it's like a 747 is perpetually taxiing right next to my fucking ear.

http://steamcommunity.com/stats/268850/achievements Who thought this was a good idea? Why do I want to try and get all the cheevos?

Was reminded of this by the .gif Simon posted in the tumblr thread.

I doubt you could make a living even if you got all the money. To do that you'd have to be modding full time, and be really good at it. At that point you're basically a game developer making a lot less money.

EA and Activision have been crucified for far less.

It's a 4chan archive. -
"Which is a service they have not offered before." Are you choking my balls, dude? There is maybe half a day's worth of coding between the old workshop and the paid workshop. To say they deserve 25% of the proceeds for that is insane. How the fuck can you see them getting 1/4 of the money and think they're not being greedy? Valve is getting the same amount as the modder. Would you sell something you made for 25% of the sale price? No, you'd be out of business the next goddamn day. Which is why it's stupid to say this will help modders. It's not fucking supporting the modders, it's supporting Valve and the developers, for doing maybe, MAYBE 5% of the work, with the modders getting a sliver.
-
I don't think Valve is actually greedy. Everything they throw out has some kind of compromise, and seems like it came from a good idea. This whole thing could've been implemented far worse, for example, no pay what you want system. The idea "Hey, maybe modders can get paid for their work!" isn't a bad one. This was just a bad way to do it. I don't think Valve is greedy, but they're far, far from infallible. You don't charge 25% for something you already were doing for free and have the infrastructure for and not be greedy. A 25% cut is insane. It's mind-boggling. It's 2.5x as much as Ebay, which a lot of people that sell their shit there will tell you, 10% is a fucking lot. 25% is the American tax rate for somebody who has an average income, which, by the way, also means 25% of that 25% cut the modder get goes to taxes. I think that the reason Valve is hunting down donation links so much is because you cannot legally take a cut of donations.

Get out of my room Guy. -
Why does the developer get 50%? They did jack fucking shit. Because they created the game the mod is for? Why not give the fucking farmer who grew the food the fucking devs eat 5% too, I mean without him the developers wouldn't be able to make their game. Even Ebay only takes 10%, and that's a LOT of money. The problem is the implications this gives. The devs put out a shitty unoptimized game, shit out some fucking DLC for it, and a modder "fixes" it for money. Everyone wins except the consumer who's getting fucked hard in the ass, hey maybe if you give their kickstarter $20 they'll send you a t-shirt saying "I <3 GETTING FUCKED" too. At best, at absolute FUCKING best, devs will get money for nothing at all, and Valve will get 25% for barely doing anything at all. And don't give me any slippery slope bullshit, I heard the same shit when DLC was getting big and now we have Day-1 DLC, pre-order DLC, exclusive Amazon version DLC, etc. Jesus fucking christ, what's next? A monthly charge to support Valve's servers? I mean "paid mods" were a topic for satirical articles not even months ago. What isn't fucking sacred at this point?

I'm sure they have, dude, I'm sure they have. -
How are YOU so bad with Windows? I've never seen that happen before to anyone I know. I thought you stallman suckers were supposed to be the ones who were good with the computers. Maybe chkdsk will do something. If it's a new computer you could always reinstall Windows. There's also a Windows Update setting that lets you turn off automatic updates.

What, these? If I remember, Medic is 2% movement speed, bloat bile resistance, syringe recharge, and body armor increases per level. Commando is 2% commando weapon damage, health increase, and some other shit. Berzerker starts off with 25% movement speed and berzerker weapon damage that increases 2% a level and a lot of bloat bile resistance and something else.

Man, usually I like xkcd but the author's really letting his "nerd with a grudge against jocks" side come out here. That argument can be applied to literally any form of cheating, like using aimbots. "Our video games are just 0s and 1s, but some people use programs that change the 0s and 1s to work differently and they win contests!" I'm not interested in sports at all, but I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see a competition between whose doping regimen is best, they want to see who's the best pitcher/batter/tennis player. -
That "vaccination" thing for the medic is so OP. I tanked a fleshpound while my friend pumped me full of healing since his medidarts replenish fast as hell. I had around 40 health and no armor, by the time I was back at 150 (because of support's buff) I had 70 armor. It's gonna be nerfed so bad. Meanwhile the acidic darts are fucking garbage and can't even kill a clot.
