If you've never played Thumper, definitely give it a try. It's a ridiculously good rhythm game. Sonic Mania is also on the Switch and it's pretty good, if you've never played that before. I dunno, I can justify a certain amount of rebuying games. For stuff like Rocket League or VVVVVV, it's because I genuinely love those games and don't mind throwing a few more bucks to the developer to show it. For Skyrim, it's pure nostalgia/novelty of having it be portable. That being said, I was blown away by the new archery/magicka controls in Skyrim, they use the gyro to finely aim and it's a very good system. You can get some really impressive snap shots off that I never could before. Stuff like that really makes me excited for the future of the console, honestly.

So I bought a Switch a couple of weeks ago, along with Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, a couple of smaller games, and as of today, Rocket League and Skyrim. This is by far the best console I have ever played. I never thought that something would drag me away from sweet, sweet PC gaming, but Nintendo has done it. I freaking love this thing.

So as reddit pointed out, the five pieces of Exodia are all restricted in Yu-Gi-Oh. Therefore, the new Spike card can fetch (and win with) Exodia.

Wizards is on fucking FIRE with the new Un-set.

Worm 2 lets goooooooooo

Glory Girl protag unexpected, but not unwelcome. Her fate was one of the more disturbing in Worm so I'm glad she got better.
-
I'm actually pretty thrilled Victoria's the protagonist, she was a pretty decent character in Worm. And it probably means that we're gonna see Tattletale in a very antagonistic role-I don't see any scenario where the two of them actually get along.

So I'm necro'ing this thread-ironic, because I main Necro in GW2. So the game is still just as active as ever, maybe even more than ever really. It went free to play about 2 years ago, and since then we've had 2 expansions with 9 maps added between them and a whole season of Living World (basically a continuation of the main story) with 6 smaller maps. There's a crapload of new story content, a whole new class, they added raids, gliding, mounts...Guild Wars 2 is basically a whole different game than it was two years ago. Seriously, if you ever played it and gave up, or wanted to try it but didn't want to pay for it, or even if you just left it a few years ago-give it another shot. This game has never been better, and it's a shame that the poor launch and huge stretches of time between content releases made a kind of black mark on it. Even just the free version of the game is worth it, in my opinion-you can still get max level characters and max level gear, and the entirety of the base game (the maps that came out at launch) is available. The expansions are even better-Heart of Thorns got really good, after the initial bumpy launch, and Path of Fire (which came out last month) introduced mounts, which just revolutionized the entire game. I've been playing for nearly 3 years now, and I can honestly say that now is probably the best time to get into the game. If you wanna add me to get help or just to hang out (I'm on NA servers, on Stormbluff Isle if anyone WVW's), my username is alexgndl.2173.

It's really funny over on r/tf2, you can really tell who's been playing for a long time and who hasn't based on their reactions. The vets are pretty much all like "Heh. Typical Valve."

Welcome back to the Bison, bottle and the Claidheamh Mòr. I've missed you guys so much.

Just when I think I'm out, they go and pull me back in again...

Behold, blessed perfection EDIT: No but seriously I fucking love this card. Menace and Deathtouch together are just mean, the other ability is awesome, 4/4 is fantastic stats, and it's a goddamn Orc Pirate Wizard. Home goddamn run, I'm running this bastard in every black deck I can.

Dinosaurs are like...the most pushed tribe I've ever seen. And I fucking love it.

Gaea's Cradle is now in standard. What a time to be alive.

Lightning Strike, Opt, Spell Pierce...goddamn, Wizards is going ham with the reprints. What's next, Doom Blade? God I hope so.
-
Krenko. Absolutely, without a doubt, Krenko. Just...Krenko.

I'm definitely going to try to get the vampires deck, yeah. I say try, because apparently Teferi's Protection is gonna be in that deck, and it's looking like it's gonna be another True-Name Nemesis. So that's gonna suck.
-
They did it. They finally made a way for someone to win by letting their opponent take infinite extra turns.
-
Raz, you've been talking about that Legacy deck for as long as I can remember. I think it's about damn time you finished it.

The Guillotine is Good Even Without the Sandman
alexgndl replied to TheOnlyGuyEver's topic in Team Fortress 2.5
Hightower has a few very open areas where you can surprise people with a guillotine throw. And even though it's a custom map, Highertower is VERY good for the cleaver. If someone's on the cart, you can just throw the guillotine from 5 levels up, freefall after it, then meatshot pretty much simultaneously with the cleaver impact. It's all but guaranteed to be an instakill. -

I'm gonna disagree with you there, Raz. I've been playing a LOT with the guillotine lately, and I've concluded that the hitbox for it is roughly the same as the Huntsman's. So basically as long as you chuck it in roughly the same direction as the enemy, you'll hit something. It's fantastic for when you're closing the gap. -

I actually like it as a kind of control mechanism. People in general don't like damage over time-bleed or afterburn. You set yourself up by a health kit, nail someone with the Guillotine, and chances are they'll try and grab the health kit to stop the bleed. What a lot of people don't realize is that 1 shot from the guillotine + a meatshot (or two glancing shots) from a scattergun will leave most classes (all of the 125 HP, sometimes medics if you're lucky) to bleed out about a second after you land the shot. Basically, if you get good at landing your cleaver shots, generally you'll be able to predict where they go afterwards and be able to get the kill fairly easily. Also, if you're able to use it twice in a fight, you're doing something wrong. A one-on-one engagement shouldn't last 6 whole seconds. -
Hour of Devastation gods are officially best gods.

It's probably gonna be an extra turn effect, kind of like Savor the Moment.

The tokens have haste. WHY DO THE TOKENS HAVE HASTE?! No but seriously, this is a fantastic card. I'm loving this and the Scorpion God, and I cannot wait to see the third. These guys are what the Amonkhet gods should've been all along.

Funny you should mention Aku...

I do love me some sassy Bolas...
