Using the Dodge move actually gives you invulnerability frames. I don't know if they ever explain that.

Aright, I'll just Git Good for now. Not sure how much I have left until HR.

I haven't played in a while and need to upgrade my Tetsupacabra armor to deal with Mountain Town FWV Monsters. Since everyone but me has made it to High/G rank already, anyone have general LR armor recommendations?

Mario Party 2 is/was my favorite, because every board carried it's theme with costumes and a mini-story. WILD WEST LAND, Bandit Bowser is terrorizing our Town! And everyone had Sheriff costumes and whoever won had a High-Noon showdown with Wild West Bowser and popguns. I don't know why they never carried that aesthetic forward.

Oh! Somebody found sprites for a talking Hoxton mask in HlM2 Edit: And someone else animated them Spoiler

After beating the game, I'm going to have to agree with most of this. It was still fun, and the music is rad, but Goddamn I just want to run around and half the levels it's impossible because guns-n-windows. -Spoilers- Spoiler The Story felt like they were going for Pulp Fiction, where it jumps around like crazy and events are defined by things that happen before and after them. As in the movie, we're only given a glimpse of each character, just enough to "know" them, but then we're sent off on a new adventure with someone else. And as I said though, that other character often explain the leadup and aftermath of other character's levels. Now, I would have been okay with that, I liked Pulp Fiction. Some characters are just going to get fucked in the end. Except the ending of HlM2 is basically "Rocks fall, everyone dies" levels of "Yo I'm done with this shit, peace out." Fortunately, there's going to be a level editor, which is going to be rad. Maybe I'll be able to actually use Fist-Kills and not get fucked by random shotgun windows.

I'm going to be the oddball and say I don't really like Jacket's voice. The gimmick is neat but eh, I prefer the normal voices. Jacket's piece is pretty rad though. When modded to 14 accuracy, it's just the Blaster 9mm with higher ROF and visual recoil. And his perk deck is pretty neat, seems great for shotgun builds. Not as tanky as Dragan's but offers armor regen instead.

The Shockroaches creep me out. But the fishgun is rad.

Woman Arrested For Trolling Herself
FreshHalibut replied to Just a Gigolo's topic in Current Events, News & Politics
Pretty sure the issue is that she set up fake accounts to make other people look abusive. Not that she "Trolled Herself" The whole situation sounds like punching yourself in the face and claiming somebody else did it. But then cops figure out that you that gave yourself a black eye, but the headline is "Youth arrested for beating himself up". -
Relic games tend to tone down base building, even Dark Crusade's base building is minimal compared to Age of build goddamn houses everywhere. The Control-Point-like resource nodes motivate squad based skirmishing and actively fighting, as opposed to 20 minutes of turtling behind walls and villagers before shitting tanks everywhere. This is why I like CoH/DoW better than traditional RTS.

It's not really P2W, but it is "Pay-to-not-grind". All non-cosmetic weapons and gear can be earned for free. On the bright side, They've progressively reduced the amount of grinding and the in-game cost of everything over time, compared to how garbage it used to be. And the Starter guns are generally the most well rounded for any given class/faction. The Gameplay is basically Call of Battlefield with TF2 control points, but on a massive scale. There's a lot of downtime while you figure out where the fuck to go, how to get there, and where the frontline is. But once you're in a massive battle, it feels really cool, until you start losing/winning and spawn-camp/get-camped. Seeing as it's Free to Play, I'd say give it a shot. It's still in active development and they do their best to balance everything. Worst case scenario you delete it from your hard drive.

PTH: Breach of Security, Home Invasion, Three Way Deal Honorable Mentions to Phoney Money and Code Silver. I think it's really slick how Vilkund worked an Iron Lung and artificial Heart in the beat of Code Silver. Payday 2: Searchlights, The Mark, Full Force Forward

TIAM IV: Guydiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cockmongler

i have no idea what any of this is but Corvo was a pretty epic rogue-type That's an unfortunate coincidence, because I played Dishonored a few months after I made that Raven Guard. -

RIP Geralt: The Rogue I had no idea how to play and tried to use swords with. Corvus the Paladin felt much better to play as. -

It's a commodity that people will pay *actual dollars* for, that you can scam/trick people into making for you. I'm honestly surprised that Bitcoin botnet viruses aren't more commonplace. -
You know that's probably just the store blurb right? The actual explanation will probably be equally lazy though, like "Bonnie worked at the Golden Grin one time so she's good at gambling and we should let her in". I'm excited for an UnderOver shotgun though, Mosconi Alternative or maybe a secondary.
-
In other news, Bonnie's Gun and Deck name have been found.

I look at it two ways, On one hand, I wasn't expecting much more than Some masks and XP. On the other, It's pretty disappointing they didn't do *anything* with new infamy besides some masks and XP. Even after having over a year to come up with cool ideas for non-gameplay altering bonuses. I'm going to guess that the 8 Masks were made for the old card system, but they didn't know what to do with the capstone. So instead, they added a bunch of filler to keep people preoccupied. Thus avoiding the capstone problem, adding more work to each mask, and making it so they won't have to update infamy again for a couple years if at all. /Dissapoint, Slight Return

TIAM IV: Guydiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cockmongler
FreshHalibut replied to Raison d'être's topic in General Discussion
I don't think I ever made an introductory post, I just showed up and started posting/lurking. Every forum needs filler. -
I'm still waiting for valve to set up a *NewValveGame* booth with VR helmets and those 3D mice that simulate recoil. Things they patched into TF2 for seemingly no reason other than active guinea pigs to bugtest on Source.
-
But what were you expecting from Infamy 2 anyway? They've already gone on record saying they didn't want future infamy to give players an advantage. I wouldn't have said no to the ability to buy colors/patterns/masks though.
