All three are really good. Kicarus is Starfox crossed with Third Person Shooter. Cramps my hand after a while though. Awakening is super content dense because the devs thought it was doomed to be the last FE game. It was my first FE game and it's very accessible to newbies. Haven't played A Lonk between Worlds, but everyone says it's fun if a bit easy.

Why are people so obsessed with these games? The first one seemed pretty cool but now it looks like they're gonna just keep crapping the same thing out every three or four months. Is it for the lore? The way I understand it, is that the series is like an extended ARG. It's less about the games, and more tinfoil conspiracy theories about all the little details hidden in them.

Do they cost money to implement? While I enjoyed the Stream of consciousness, I don't think Status Updates worth the actual dollars keeping this place running.

Tangentially related: The coolest thing about old Scumm VM games, is that they could use your modem for sound effects if you had no speakers. I played Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis on an old Win95 machine and it played The Indy theme using dial-up tones, it was neat.

I still like Tetsucabra armor because it's easy to gem/Trinket in Health+50, which when you have garbage chef ingredients is reasonably useful. Also if you're ever Carted because Gore combos you in the corner. This early in the game I don't want to waste Max/Ancient Potions.

The Meownster Hunters are the best.

My Monster Hunter Card Spoiler First Game: Monster Hunter (PS2) Played: 1, Tri, 3U, 4U Favorite Weapon:Hammers Runners Up: LongSword, SwitchAxe, Hunting Horn Favorite Gesture: Kick Back Favorite Monster: Zinogre Learning Gunlance right now, pretty fun. Huge change of pace from dodge weapons, but magdump and Wyverns Fire is so good. Especially with mounting giving you a huge opening for both if you succeed. Finally got to switch out the starter armor for Tetsucabra last night. Slightly less made of paper now.

They claim Ice Climbers take too much processing power on the 3DS to work without crashing all the time. Nu3DS and WiiU have enough power, but they didn't want to split the roster between consoles.

The licenses are stored on the device, so if you do a system transfer you can redownload them from the shop on the Nu3DS.
