You know, I never really thought about it that way, but it definitely wouldn't be the first time Japan has been looking back on WW2. A lot post-apocalyptic writing is based on a world after an alternate WW2 or nuclear warfare or whatnot. I took a Japanese Fiction course in the spring, and that was a major theme, yeah. Just look at the original Godzilla movie- it's like 99% nuke allegory.

And then I chainsaw'd a Tank in about six seconds. ugh, the only thing worse than playing L4D2 with a team of potatoes is when one of the potatoes is one's current roommate and the Rochelle bot was MVP but damn if that Benny Hill tank theme mod ain't the greatest thing ever.

I think I just saw the greatest L4D2 moment ever. We're in the Parish, the section with a ton of car alarms, and one gets set off. One of my teammates has a chainsaw, and stands at the bottom of a ladder as zombies, attracted by the alarm, drop down and get chainsawed by the dozens. Just an endless stream of zombies falling onto a chainsaw. It was the best thing.
