One time me and a friend bought way too much beer, put on backwards ballcaps and played through Halo 3 in two sittings with ACDC blasting in the background. It was stupid amounts of fun

There is actually a very simple strat to the last fight Spoiler step 1: git gud there is no step 2 free bullet and rocket man actually look pretty fun. I'm now doing Lambda Locator with a guide right now, Get some Grub looks tedious as fuck interesting challenge >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> get x of y

I think I'm actually gonna try and get all achievements in Half Life 2 now Even the tedious ones like one free bullet and get some grub
-
Just finished Episode 2 The final fight is so much fun goddamn. At the last two striders I had completely ran out of ammo apart from the pistol and the shotgun so I found myself running under a strider dodging its legs while fighting two hunters in close combat. I think I pooped a little. And now I'll have to wait until HL3

Ugh Since the last update I keep timing out on Valve servers. It's not the server, I'm the only one timing out This wouldn't be much of a problem if Valve hadn't killed off every non-valve server with quickplay giving valve servers priority

There was actually a pretty interesting shitstorm thread about that on /v/ yesterday. Do you guys think TF2 is P2W? Maybe that deserves its own thread though

Playing Half life 2 episode 2 now to finish my hard runs. It has made me realize how much I like the Vortigaunts, mostly because they aren't the noble peaceful alien race you usually see aliens turn into in fiction whenever they aren't the bad guys. The Vortigaunt that goes into the hive with you has some great dark humour (they feel quite pleasant underfoot, no?) One line that I really liked was a kill line where he says "return to the all-in-one" which seems to show that their religion is based on the idea that the universe is one big organism, while at the same time sounding super silly because the translation from Vortiguese to English makes it sound like some kind of supermarket

my box has been really grossly good to me so far. I've opened six packs and these are the rares: Kheru Spellsnatcher Rakasha Deathdealer Duneblast Avalanche Tusker Mindswipe Sage of the Inward Eye foil Mantis Rider foil Jeskai Ascendancy no mythics yet but two foil rares? damn son

http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?format=["Standard"] Start by only using standard legal cards maybe. That is still a lot of cards but less overwhelming than the whole mtg history Also we could always build a deck together on steam :3

Before trading, the only unlockables were the achievement weapons and a few exceptions like crit a cola and the Southern Hospitality. There is hardly a comparison to how it is now
-
Can you trade with a F2P account? I thought you could only receive gifts
-
I don't like the argument "stock is generally the best so it doesn't matter". Giving new players only a sixth of the options someone with a full loadout has is pay 2 win, even if a portion of those weapons are worse than stock. On top of that I think the amount of useful unlocks in TF2 is often vastly underestimated when making this argument; there are plenty of unlocks that are situationally better than stock, or promote a completely different playstyle that you simply cannot do with stock. Because of how the drop system works, grinding for the weapons is nearly impossible and would take a lot of luck and several months of time. The most efficient way to get all items is still to buy some keys to get premium, sell the keys for metal and break them up into scraps to trade for the weapons. But that is a pretty tedious and long time investment that on top of that is very tough for a completely new player to understand. So yeah I think TF2 has become pretty pay to win.

Interesting fact about this: men commit more succesful suicides than women, but women commit more suicide attempts than men This is not because women just constantly fuck up, but because they often use suicide attempts as a cry for help. While men mostly commit suicide because of cropped up emotions they do not want or dare to express -

In which John asks a bunch of random strangers to help him make a informed decision on something

But arena shooters have twitch aiming just as well, arguably even more, so I don't really see the point of the argument -
You have reached your quota of negative votes for the day
-
Damn Wulff that is pretty good, especially with the wind stuff going on. The feet are a bit odd but the anatomy of the arms and shoulderbones are very well done
-
Joking aside, I don't like it having x rep says "you made people happy this amount of times". Letting some people add more rep kind of ruins that
-
if negarep works the same way I'm game

No not really. Advanced mobility generally gives too many options to make suppressive fire an option. You don't see it in Quake or Tribes for example, and in TF2 only on (bad) AD maps. What TF2 players call a spammy chokepoint is pretty much what CS's meta is all about. -
I've been mulling (hah) it over and checking my finances and I think I might actually buy an entire box of ktk for myself tomorrow There are plenty of cards that I suspect will become standard bombs with how good the rares are compared to theros block's rares, and the fetches will always keep value It would also be a nice motivator to crack a pack for every article I finish reading
