I keep forgetting that Domino's is a single set block though. If only...
-
People were commenting that this set reminded them of time spiral, and I think that two main reasons contribute to that: As you said, this set kinda rubs against the NWO style that we've been dealing with for the past few years (and which, honestly, seems to have ramped up significantly after Khans) where complexity and strange mechanics have been toned down, and also because the damn set is a nostalgia trip. I honestly like all the strange and almost random legendaries coming around. It reminds me of Legends... if they actually knew how to design legends at the time.

tfw the spoilers for Dominarino are already better at pandering to history than M25

Teekyuu is unironically my favorite anime.

So will everyone in smash 5 have a counter? The trend from Brawl to 4 seemed to suggest so.

Something seems off about that. -

I'd post my fig collection, but currently the dresser I keep them on is in all sorts of disarray -

What's the deal with airline food?
-
I don't see why they stopped giving out peanuts.
I mean, even if I'm allergic to them, if I'm on a plane I kind of want to die anyway.
-
Well I can tell you some airlines prohibit both the pilot and co-pilot from eating the same meal at the same time, in case of poisoning. Which makes sense, but is kind of disconcerting at the same time.

Actually, going full meme dream game, an urban combat-oriented MMOFPS with similar scale to PlanetSide would be pretty great too. Everyone wonders if PS2 could have featured an urban continent, and I think that it'd be kinda rough but doable with some serious attention to detail. It might be better overall to do a completely different game focused specifically on urban combat though.

Is that a cutscene? I thought that had title screen all over it. -
My dream game would probably be PlanetSide 2 but without the horrifying chain of bad decisions, executive meddling, and dev team losses. I still love the game, but there's a lot of things that have gone wrong. If anything, it's great that despite all the bad things that happened it's still a fun game with enough people playing it five years later. So I guess the dream game is basically merging PS2's shooter gameplay, maps, and faster-paced action with some of the more intricate strategy that was possible in PS1. Also, I'd make Vanu's small arms niche more unique. Honestly, making each faction have their own damage models would be a good start. I'd play up aymmetrical balance more and actually let everyone steal things from the other factions (hey, that was in PS1 too!) so even if you think the Prowler is better than the Magrider you can just hack one out.

What if there was a game where you start at LV100 and all your attacks cost XP? You start off killing the elder dragon and it's the easiest fight in the game, and then at the end of the game the hardest fight ends up being with three level 1 slimes.

It always boggled my mind that Wizards would do a reprint set for things people want, but still gear it towards draft, and then ON TOP OF THAT charge 10 dollars per pack. It's all over the place in intention.

What song are you listening to RIGHT now?

There's some cute designs in there, too, which is the real shame.

Poor Stangg. I don't really care about whether or not WotC is blackwashing cards, but would it have killed them to make the card look anything like the original?
-
That mean he's done the tutorial.

I don't really like the set overall, but I really love M25's set-symbol-watermarking. I love watermarks.
-
Yeah, you should not underestimate the ability to get voice lines easily. TF2 had an almost perfect storm of memeability, selection, and availability during the heyday of gmod videos, which probably is why there's such a wealth of specifically TF2 stuff.
-
I said that because I was sure there were contenders but I couldn't think of any. Though, Halo 2 was pretty good for random NPC dialogue within combat. Maybe that's nostalgiavision though.

Now draw it being bulldozed to make a Wal-Mart. -
Very few games come close to touching the voicing in TF2. It's just so good.
