I think I stopped reading when Vrisk finally met with the original human team that was travelling in space or something. Or something. My memory is faded on that one and since the plot is intentionally a clusterfuck it doesn't help.

I'm lucky if I can get half a minute of cold water in my house. I would say you're lucky, but even I enjoy hot showers now and then.

I dunno if an overall synopsis would translate well to a half-life game. To many, the level design and gameplay was much more important, and that's not in this leak at all. Not to mention we don't know if any new mechanics, weapons, or enemies would have shown up, which would have added a lot.

I feel like the ending wasn't edited. Throughout the story the Combine are shown to be overtly powerful, hammered in by the fact that the entire Earth was conquered in seven days. I think that the closest thing to a victory for Earth is making the Combine either unwilling or unable to counter-attack, rather than truly hurting them. In that way, cutting off the Borealis is still very much a victory, though not as sweet as perhaps destroying the Combine completely. Lack of the A-Dawg is a shame. I feel like if any place could have had him shown up, time-space anomalies caused by the Borealis would have done it.

I think the story seems good, I wish that it explained or gave any kind of insight into G-Man but I respect that not everything needs explaining. I like that it ends with G-Man abandoning Gordon for Alyx, it shows that you're no longer the important player you started as. Also RIP half-life forever.

There's an easy parallel, too many games in a single franchise

Whenever I put on music I have two categories I choose from: Music that I enjoy, and music that I enjoy that I feel comfortable putting on with other people around. One of my go-tos from the latter category is a band called Serpent Throne, and the album I specifically like to put on is Brother Lucifer. That sounds pretty bad from names alone, but bear with me here. It's instrumental. No vocals, no screeing or anything. That already keeps it playing for longer than ten seconds. It's still probably a little more heavy than what would play most of the time but it's a far cry from Industrial Symphonic Death-Thrash or whatever I turn on to relax and it helps that there's no guy screaming about Timothy McVeigh. I'd like to imagine that the album has enough of the bluesy side of doom metal to not weird people out. The solos are still a lot of fun too. The last song, Napalm Mourning, is a very powerful song and the outro is fucking amazing, I love it. The album, from the various song names and album cover, has a Vietnam theme. Without lyrics to explicity state it, you can take the songs as they are or imagine RS2 Vietnam gameplay as you listen to it. At the very least, I hope that it's an album that someone can listen to without having to grow out their hair and yell UP THE IRONS whenever they see something "brutal."

Weirdly specific but I dreamed that I was at a buffet in one of the station casinos out here and I ran into Huff and my family sat right next to him. I think I scooched over to Huff's table and said something about how he can sit with me even though it'd be weird cuz I had my family with me, or something like that.

The genki open mouth smile expression usually has weird results but I think it can theoretically work. Considering the game scans from getchu character portraits, it's not too surprising that it generates stuff that follows those patterns.

Yes it is. There's fighting 24/7 on US servers and you can still find fights during primetime on the EU servers. Though if you're in the USA I highly advise going to Emerald (US East) over Connery (US West) even if Connery has better ping. Connery has a probrem with lagwizards from China, so if you play later in the day you'll most likely be fighting groups of people with 10x your ping.
