I've already talked to a few people about this, but opinions on sentry guns? I'm working on a Techforcer build and I'm going to build up to the higher tiers with the sentry. I'm currently using an R93 as my primary so I should be able to handle armored targets like Shields that the sentries can't, but if they aren't even useful on softer targets I'll just go with shaped charges for whenever those will be useful (and otherwise stick with ammo bags). I can also post a build if people want to look it over.

StV is also completely useless in the OP levels, unless they fixed it. Your character's damage scales up but not their health, so swatting yourself can be a OHKO, or close. In the build I was using before I stopped, I hardly even use his melee skill. It's all elemental damage and bloodsplosions,. Wait, what? I have a full melee Krieg and even with my strongest hit, I always take 1/8 of my full health as damage. They may have fixed it in that case. I haven't played in a while. I just remember when Digistruct Peak came out it people were saying it gimped Mania Krieg, at least at higher OP levels, although it depended on what other gear and perks you used as well. I think lots of builds omitted StV entirely because of it.

Watch Dogs probably was the biggest blunder of 2014 So ridiculously hyped, too. I'm glad I didn't give a shit about it because I probably would have been crushed once it came out.

No silencer/10 if I had one (or a compensator) for that gun I would have added it.

Kayohgee is a nickname I got in high school made up of my initials. Another variant I started using online recently is "Kevinohgee". Mick Dynamite is my current Steam/Xbox Live username and it's usually met with confusion. It also comes from a nickname of sorts. There's a film that came out in 2009 called Black Dynamite (that was later turned into an animated series on Adult Swim). It's a blaxploitation spoof wherein the titular character is a black, crime fighting kung-fu master a la Shaft. I ended up getting it on DVD and introducing a few friends to the film. We all loved it and it became part of our little cultural lexicon or whatever you want to call it. It's also important to mention that my heritage is Irish-American, so within my group of friends it was something we all frequently poked fun at. There were lots of potato famine and "Irish need not apply" jokes. So, long story short, one day I quoted the film, and someone said "Oh, look at Mick Dynamite over here" (Mick being a slur for an Irish person). The name didn't stick but I thought it was silly and tongue-and-cheek so I made it my alias.

Seems fair enough. There's a big difference between defending people who are being persecuted and starting a crusade.

I had a dream there were two or three crickets that somehow made their way into my room and they were chirping all goddamn night. I couldn't find them so I couldn't get to sleep and I ended up just playing Minecraft all night. Oh, wait. That one actually happened.

FDaF is one of those games that isn't scary to watch but would probably fucking terrifying to play.

I'd say beat the main game and major side quests without it so you don't spoil the plot for yourself, then use the wiki to find secrets.

This might sound shitty, but I had a much harder time believing he died than believing he killed himself when I first heard about it. When it was announced I assumed his death was a hoax, but then someone mentioned that Williams had been battling depression and it was probably a suicide. At the moment I decided it was probably true. He always struck me as the kind of guy who's really exuberant on the outside yet very troubled on the inside. It's really saddening to know he couldn't find enough peace in life to feel like his life was worth living. At the very least, I guess it's good that his death has brought a discussion of mental health issues into the public spotlight.

Thank you for not being part of the circlejerk over the plot of Bioshock Infinite. I thought it was a good game that had a really interesting concept, but the plot kind of weirdly fell apart at the end and no one seems to care.

Has anyone here checked out the Unturned Beta yet? EvilBrain and I were discussing it today so I figured other subSPUFers might be interested. It's essentially an open world hybrid of DayZ and Minecraft. From DayZ you have open world zombie survival. You're managing food, water, ammunition and finding new weapons. Dying means losing your items. There's also a crafting system that allows you mine resources to make items like campfires and bandages or structures that can be put together into bases, as well as simple skill and weapon mod systems. I've been playing it for a bit and there could be a good game here, but the fact that it's in beta is definitely apparent. The zombie AI is as basic as it gets and the multiplayer is pretty bare bones. There are certain options like switching between PVP and PVE which is a nice touch but for the time being you need a friend to host a game and manually connect. There's a "sync" feature where items and stats from your single player character are carried over the multiplayer, but I'm not clear if structures are persistent between games or not. It seems like if you host a game and then disconnect everything gets wiped at this point. That being said, the game is in Early Access so these are features that will be improved and more fleshed out as the game approaches launch. Until then it's free so I definitely think it's worth checking out at least.

that's probably true because you've been using your middle finger for the right mouse button your entire life once you do it a bit you realize that your ring finger isn't actually any less articulate or less capable of clicking than your middle finger regarding the space issue maybe your mouse is really tiny or s/t but it works fine for me I'll have to try it.

I'm a shitter then I guess. I usually move my middle finger to the scroll wheel only when I have to scroll.
