  1. By making sure that I never needed a phone. Until recently, I had done a very good job of that.
  2. I have joined the century. I now have a cellular telephone. My very first. I'm charging it up now. And then you show that video. I only saw the first three minutes so far, but I'm starting to feel ever so slightly worse about this.

Ooh. I like the double-bladed HHHH. Now recreate the moment in the first Star Wars VII trailer where we see Kylo Ren's lightsaber, only it is HHHHs.
  4. Today's been a long day, but a good day. We set up the dance, participated in it, and took it down all today. Everyone had a great time. My date and I were the last couple dancing on the floor. In other news, I learned that our production of Almost, Maine from last year was recorded by the city network and put on Youtube. In it you will find, in order of appearance: My date (Scene 2: Her Heat), the first girl I kissed (Scene 6: They Fell), Me (Scene 7: Where it Went), and my date for Homecoming a while back (Scene 8: Story of Hope). It's strange watching it. Almost half of the people in the show are graduated, and two of the girls are engaged.
  5. Just got back from a group date with my date for Masquerade. It is to replace the traditional day date normally done on the day of the dance, but before it. However, since half of us will be spending all day tomorrow setting up the dance, we moved the date back. It was very fun: We went to a boy scout camp to walk along a haunted trail they set up. My friends were amused when I casually spoke/joked with the people after/as they did their routines. For example: Lunatic in straitjacket: "No! NOOOO!! I don't wanna be a platypus! I don't WANT to be a platypus! I DON'T WANT TO BE A PLATYPUS! I want to be a unicorn!" Me: "Believe in yourself, and you will achieve your goals!" "Fred knows you!" "Fred! I know him! He's a swell guy." "George does, too!" "Isn't George dead?" "Fred killed him!" "Wasn't it the evil wizards?" "No, it was Fred!" We even met a guy that we knew from school, working on the trail in a mask. I was a bit off put when he referred to me by name as we were walking away from him, but then we found out who he was and had a short conversation, then moved on. Afterwards, we had ice cream. All was well. I am happy.

Hi. I've been here long enough to see you sometimes, but haven't done much with you. You probably don't know me very well. In that case: ATTEND THE TALE OF MERSOPOLIS - A THESPIAN WHO GOT HIS FIRST KISS - I HAVE A LIFE AND IT'S GOING WELL - THOUGH OTHER THAN THAT THERE'S NOT MUCH TO TELL - HIS LIFE MAY BE QUITE FAR FROM BLISS - YES, MERSOPOLIS - THE ALMOST ORD'NARY ACTOR
  7. Well dang. I almost feel bad for wanting to share that I am getting my first phone. Condolences, friend.

If I had any inclination to interact with the outside world on Halloween, I might have gone as Saitama from One-Punch Man.

I would've needed red gloves, a big white cape, some sort of yellow jumpsuit, and most importantly, a bald wig. I think I've already got the dopey blank expression down pat.

      Maybe next year.

In which Cube tries to make a game

I tried it. Looking good so far, and I know it's just a prototype but the lack of diagonal movement is such a PAIN!
  11. Ain't got time for research these days... Heck, I barely have time to make any transactions before the markets close. I don't know what I'll do.
  12. I'm taking an Economics class in school. As part of it, I must participate in the Stock Market Game. I was hoping to pour as much as I could into Disney, expecting good things to come from Episode VII, but sadly, the game ends the day before it opens. Luckily, EA's Battlefront is launched in November. Things are looking good for them. Any suggestions?

  14. Girl 1 finally got around to asking me to Masquerade. It was a simple invitation, she left a large tub of movie theater popcorn at my house with the message, "Now that I've BUTTERED you up, I'll POP the question: Will you go to Masquerade with me?". I never actually saw her, my brother brought it to me in my room. Of course, I'm accepting it. But now I wonder if I should give her a gift with my response. We recently bought a small box of fortune cookies that have given me ideas... But thinking about the actual dance: It's on Halloween and the theme is "The Walking Dead." Any brilliant ideas, subSPUF? I don't have any costumes on hand except one: The jedi cloak and pseudo-robe I wore last year.

  17. I'm back from Shakespeare! We did awesome! Our ensemble (Mad Max-inspired Henry V, traitor scene: Act II, Scene 2) got first place! I got to use the biggest drum. I'm proud to know that I contributed greatly. Our girl who played Henry (Yes, a girl) got a named award/scholarship for her performance. Although neither of our duo/trio scenes got an award (including the one I was in: Titus Andronicus, the nurse gets shanked scene: Act IV, Scene 2), two of our three monologues tied for second place! We had an improv team and, although we didn't get any awards as a whole, one member got a named award that lets him take free classes for off-the-cuff" comedy for life! I don't know exactly what he did to get it, but it involved Voldemort and looking at him in a different way. I probably could've been a part of the improv team, although I don't remember why I wasn't. He and our female Henry V got the only named awards in our division. We had a dance team, consisting of one guy and five girls, that was absolutely adorable with their performance inspired one of the Sonnets (91, I think), but didn't get any awards. There was a tech olympics, but none of our techies got an award. I don't even know what happens in the tech olympics, but I do know that awards are given based on best times for something. There was a music competition, and for it we had one girl play a song on a cello. I don't know what it was inspired by, but she didn't win any awards. Our ensemble was so good that it was showcased to a larger crowd before the awards ceremony! Overall, we got third place in our division! We'll be finding out over next week exactly how we were judged, including scores. Other notable things: We saw a production of Dracula after we arrived in Cedar City on Thursday night. It was GUD! The special effects were especially nice! The bookstore on campus at the university hosting the event had a very large supply of replica melee weapons for sale. Most of them were sold. I wanted one, but didn't have the money to get one, even though I had only spent a total of ~$11 the entire trip. Days before we were to leave, we had some trouble with organizing transportation by bus. We originally planned to get a charter bus. Nearly everyone had paid their share of the fees when we were offered a bus by the school district for much less than what we planned on paying for the charter bus. With the ~$3,000 that was now available, we decided to have a pizza party on the way home on Saturday. One of the people I was roommates with for the trip was acting particularly odd late at night on Friday. He tried to order something at a convenience store drive-through while on foot, and later went in and tried to buy tobacco (He's 17 and the legal age is 19). I think it had something to do with the medication he was supposed to be taking. Overall, this was a great experience and I'm glad I went. TL;DR: Shakespeare! Big group scene wins 1st place! 3rd place overall in division! My trio scene didn't place... The bookstore sold weapons to teenagers! Pizza! Brought to you by Wall-O-TextTM
  18. My grandpa surprised us with a visit tonight. The living one, not the one that died recently. He'll be staying for almost a month. It's a shame he arrived now. He was just barely too late to see the Shakespeare Showcase (we all did wonderful), and then I'll be gone to Cedar City tomorrow, so I won't be able to spend time with him. But, it's still nice to have him visiting. But, WE LEAVE FOR SHAKESPEARE COMPETITIONS TOMORROW!
  19. Tomorrow, we in the Shakespeare company will showcase our work. The day after, we leave for the competitions. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Dad-gum it. Looking back at the actual play, and not the cutting for my scene, it's actually Demetrius's brother, Chiron, saying the first part.
