Well for one, it might get rid of the stigma of competitive gaming of being just "nerds who sit on their asses all day" in the connotation that there isn't much effort put into the activity to warrant being taken seriously as a proper use of time and a legitimate business and main source of revenue, such as being a professional football player. For example, if someone were to ask me what my current/previous employment is/was in an interview, and I responded that I was a professional League of Legends player, they would most likely be taken aback in bewilderment by the response, possibly even outright laugh in my face. However, if I said I was previously a professional football player, they would probably be delighted to hear that, even possibly a compliment for my experience. It's that social and professional stigma that seems to hold gaming back as a sport. Everyone knows (or at least heard of) who Tom Brady is, while barely anyone outside of the gaming realm knows who Froggen is. It's that accessibility and general positive attitude from the mainstream public that is needed to solidify gaming as a proper athletic venture. And I believe that within the next 20, maybe even 10 years it may happen. We are already seeing breakthroughs such as when ESPN streamed the DOTA 2 International, although the backlash was quite substantial, most likely from that whole "social stigma" thing. But again, within 20 years, the newer generations will see things in a different light and the stigma will be somewhat gone. It's only a matter of time until more gaming tournaments will show up on the mainstream sports channels and become like the new professional Poker tournaments that's aired frequently.

Guess who. Damn Mark is fast.

Yes.

Borg was, because he hates playing Pyro, for some reason, so Sheepy went Scorch+Phlog. Reima went Degreaser either because he hates the phlog, isn't good at it, or doesn't have one. Either way, he was useful for Spy duty anyway because of it, so I'm not complaining.
-
We had a sniper and soldier too don't lie we also had a spectator carry us to victory Actually, me, Moose, Puffs, Reima, Borg, and Sheepy did a legit run and we did fine. Not gonna lie, it was close, but then again, Scorch Shot sooooo....yea, it's totally doable. In fact, Reima recorded the whole thing and is putting it up on Youtube, so there's video evidence if you need it.
-
Holy shit is the Scorch Shot so broken on MvM. We did a SS-only (+1 engie) run on Wave 666, and we won Sure it takes a long-ass time to kill things, particularly Giant Demoknights, but the bomb just does NOT go anywhere. And if they get past your defenses, the pits can be used as a trump card against rather annoying bomb carriers which will have the added bonus of resetting the bomb. You guys should really try it sometime, it's so fun.

You know, I wonder how small the Tumblrpowered thread would be if I had the power to delete all of Gigolo's posts and any post related to them.
-
Then it would be 'mewwy2 makes a monthly post': the topic.
While that might be nice and all, I prefer if we have a place to laugh about common stupidity.

I didn't hack my Wii until I transferred all my stuff over to the Wii U. I'm honestly not sure that you'd want to do that because the HDMI can make some games look weird and any games that use a Gamecube controller (Mario Kart, Brawl, some virtual console...) no longer can.You can't even play most of the games online anymore anyway (unless you hack the wii partition of your Wii U), the Wii transfer thing isn't really that worth it if you still have access to both systems but I can see it being different for college. As far as I know, you can't really undo the effects of priiloader, so I don't really know what you can do. I've done extremely little with hacking though but I don't know if anyone else here can help. Doesn't the Gamecube controller adapter work for last gen games? Or is it only built for Sm4sh?

Me, Wicket, and some friends from FastCo tried doing Wave 666 Scorch shot only (+Engie). It was surprisingly effective, we got pretty far, untile the multi-tank round with the Spies got us, even with Phlog, it was hard, but it would be cool to try it again. Anyone want to join me later in trying that? I'll be in the SubSPUF Mumble if you want to join in. 9v9 confirmed. Am hype.

Fun Fact: Chlorine water makes for pretty decent hair gel. -
That.....would actually be curious to see, just for the hell of it. It's been heavily implied that this one takes place in someone's nightmare(?), considering the design of the robots, it's clear that they aren't the same robots as the pizzeria. In fact, considering it takes place in a child's room and all of the robots have insanely sharp teeth, it could be a nightmare from the victim of the Bite of '87. Something that seems to support this is the teaser image all saying "Was it me?", implying that any one of these robots could have done it. However, another theory could be is that could be Purple Guy's origin story before he becomes the crazed killer that starts the events of the series. He has a nightmare of scary-ass robots, sees a restaurant that houses these robots, albeit less threatening, and he snaps. Who knows? Most likely though it could be the former as the Bite of '87 is one of the big questions that FNAF 3 left unanswered.

We played Powerhouse on the FastCo. pub last night. The same situation happened. Even with (mostly) everyone trying to win. Only one round was completed out of an entire 45 minutes. Sleight had to physically change the map to something different because the timer went out yet on the map, yet instead of a stalemate/ win for the team with the most points, nothing happened (I believe it is a bug with the map).
-
Powerhouse is like the 2Fort of CP maps (small map, long stalemates), while Suijin is basically the Dustbowl of KOTH (just a big 'ol clusterfuck with lots of spam, no sense of order, and terribly designed and definitely not made with 12v12 in mind). Borneo is a nice addition though. Still don't know what to think of Snowplow.

Would you use a subSPUF Mumble?
John Caveson replied to Arm the Homeless's topic in General Discussion
i'll be in the mumble if you guys want to hang. -
Man, Valve just can't seem to get it together with the dropped weapons detonating the cart exploit. And while we're using SiN, holy FUCK Valve, why is Suijin in the game!? I mean I know it's pretty and all, but come on!
