Yeah, I thought it was my end. Was gonna check out "White and Nerdy" again cause it popped into my mind but Youtube said nope. I wonder what's up with them.

I do think that was actually an option, but they were obviously evil Iron Giants and not good ones like the actual Iron Giant. The only reason you'd do it is if you just wanted bad karma. I suppose if you're too cheap for an elevator repairman you could just ask the Earth God to fix it for you. Did you get any cats out of trees too?

Had a dream a couple of nights ago. My friends and I decided to meet up in one of our cities, and we chose my friend's city, the bustling metropolis of Linton, Indiana. Only the town was under attack by some Iron Giant looking motherfuckers and the town itself was more like a city-state with a king and various factions vying for power within it, these power struggles being worsened by the crisis of said Iron Giants stalking the land. Well we did some shit I don't remember and I met up with some friends from my elementary school days and then eventually we were invited to the King's Palace and we were sitting around a table on an elevated section of the room watching the King's speech. I leaned over and whispered a shitty joke to one of the elementary school friends then froze cause there was a huge glass smashing sound that came from the skylight above me. An Iron Giant had punched the skylight open and glass shards rained down on me; I remember thinking I should be bleeding but since I was in a cutscene I didn't take any damage. At that point there was general chaos and people were running around screaming and the King and his bodyguards started fighting the Iron Giant (I remember his guard doing the Assassin's Creed NPC combat pose). Now a decision was to be made - side with the King and defeat the Iron Giant or side with one of his councilors and kill him in the chaos. I think I was going to help the King but then I woke up.

I'm only upgrading to Windows 10 when I build a new PC. I don't feel like there's any real benefit to upgrading my current PC, plus the shock of the transition might kill the old girl. The only real reason I'd even use 10 is DirectX 12 (which doesn't even matter with my current PC and probably won't matter for a while anyway) and the fact that it's still getting updates. Overall I feel like I'm downgrading but what can you do? I remember I was really early getting 7 since I got a new laptop (Inspiron 1545... could barely run TF2 but it did and that's why I'm here today so it gets a salute from me ;_;7) and it was really neat since I had only used Macs and school computers I couldn't do anything with before. Good times, 7 was what all products should strive to be. Probably the best thing about it, to me, was it felt modern, but it wasn't trying too hard to be modern like a lot of software today.

UKRAINE: What I do is put in the spoiler first using the little spoiler thing (eyeball) in the editor and then type whatever I need into it directly. Then I click out of the box and repeat the process. I'm not sure if this is the intended way of doing it but it's what I found out and I'm not gonna fuck with it. It was a lot simpler on the old software though.

I still don't know what the fuck Google+ actually is, other than a pain in my ass. I spit on its grave even though I know it will be replaced with something worse.

Recently I've been getting a shitload of bots (or maybe just really uncreative people) trying to scam random shit off me - despite the fact I don't really have much of anything worth a whole lot. A day's work at McDonald's will get you more than what I have - maybe I've been posted on some scammer forum under the title "LIST OF GULLIBLE RETARDS". Anyway I digress - so far all of these attempts have been really crappy and low effort, no spunk to it at all. But today* I met a couple guys who actually made some effort. *Well, the first one added me a couple weeks ago but never said anything and I forgot he existed until today. You'll notice some images in there, they're actually .gifs which is where I was most impressed. "Can I run it?" is the big one. Other than that I mostly just look for shit that interests me, vague I know but I know it when I see it. When I learned Victoria 2 (and HOI3) (and EU3) I just picked a country and went in hard and had the wiki open if I needed anything specific. That's part of the fun in my opinion, not knowing what the fuck is going on and why you have no money and why it took you 20 years to research "medicine". By the end of that run you'll have a good enough grasp on the important bits.

It was a couple years ago, and I've actively avoided saying it because 1) it seems like it was forced from the top-down because it's got that sense of "Well I want to insult someone but I don't wanna say any bad words to do it" and 2) I'm being dragged into the future kicking and screaming. Up until I was about 12 or so I always played games on the easiest difficulty level. I distinctly remember the change - I was replaying Ace Combat 5 for what must have been the dozenth time and I moved the difficulty from easy or very easy to the hardest I could and it felt so much different - I could actually take damage? I had less than 99 missiles? MY GUN DIDN'T HAVE INFINITE AMMO?!? It felt like a whole different game and was so much more of a challenge I decided I'd do that for every game from now on, which I mostly have. The only large exception is strategy games because as you say the computer cheats, and unlike other genres it's really glaringly obvious. I have five iron deposits, my opponent has five iron deposits. So we're evenly matched right? WRONG he's much more powerful than you because this difficulty gives him 2x good shit and half the bad shit you do. At that point it's not real strategy it's mostly just knowing enough about the game and its arbitrary difficulty rules to cheese your way to the win. Which of course can be a challenge and is why every now and then I head back into Civ on my now-standard Emperor difficulty and prepare for my eventual try at Immortal. I understand that the AI needs to cheat in these games because quite simply it's dumb as shit in some ways and superhuman in others. So you gotta give it handicaps, but even so, defeating it at a certain point feels less like two equal forces colliding and more like an agile matador dancing around a dumber but much more massive beast. Fun that may be, and skillful are the people that do it well, but it's not what I feel a strategy game should feel like.

Glideslope, khaganate, snaphance, transi. Not sure how obscure some of them are but autocorrect all thinks they're wrong so that's something at least.

The dream may be dead but at least there's Artifact: The Dota 2 Card Game.

There was a video I'm trying to find, it's a video of TF2. There's a guy commentating over one of his friends playing as a huntsman sniper on cp_well and talking about how great he is and how he's "just wrecking shop". I know it was made by a gaming group that was focused on COD (or maybe CS) and it was on SPUF in 2011 which is where I found it. My friend and I have been using "wrecking shop" as a euphemism for sucking shit for that long and so every year or so I search for it for about an hour before losing hope since all the tags I can think of are "TF2, sniper, huntsman, cp_well, wrecking shop," and that gets you about half the TF2 videos ever made. It probably doesn't even exist anymore, sadly. Does anyone else remember it? It's really bugging me because I've refound videos that had a lot less views with even vaguer descriptions but this one eludes me.

Just like SPUF, then. Any thread older than 2 years would be about 70% banned.

You can do something to make a shitload of bosses spawn in a certain area I know that. Don't ask me how though I have no fucking clue.
