Something I found amusing with Naruto- someone on Mangahelpers has been doing "capslocking" of the recent chapters (since around 632)- script-ficcing the dialogue in abridged-style hilarity. Example: NARUTO: SASUKEEEHH!!! ARE YOU GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT??? I THINK I HEARD SOMEWHERE THAT ONLY SAGE THINGS WILL WORK ON OBITO!! DO YOU REMEMBER THAT?? SOMETHING ABOUT SAGE STUFF??? TOBIRAMA: OH MY GOD. NARUTO: DO YOU REMEMBER, SASUKE?? WELL DO YOU? ABOUT THE SAGE JUTSUS? AND OBITO? ARE YOU SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING? I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T WANT YOU TO GET IN OVER YOUR HEAD BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!! There are a few good dubs. Like, the "big three" all have weaker dubs (although Funi's new One Piece dub has improved pretty well), but FMAB's dub I find to be just as good as the original. Other thing is, if I'm watching a dub, I don't have to pay obsessive attention to the text at the bottom of the screen.

On the other hand, the Maison gives out points like candy once you hit supers. I bought all the TMs they had within two days. Which segues into a thought I had about the evolution of TMs. In Gen 1, they were usually some of the best moves (see: celadon department rooftop, Surge, Blaine, and Sabrina). In Gen 2, TMs went way down in value so to speak- the 95-moves weren't even obtainable in Gold and Silver, the game corner sold the 120s and the department sold the punches. Which led to anything that could learn Ice Beam naturally (Lapras, Dewgong, Cloyster) being at a premium because of Lance. In turn this also made natural movepools hugely important- There were like two electric types in Johto (ampharos and magneton were the only ones iirc) and neither got Bolt naturally. The Beasts even got an odd disconnect there- Entei got Flamethrower at 51, Suicune could get taught Surf immediately, and Raikou didn't even get Thunder until 71. And then they got brought back as game corner TMs in gens 3 and 4... and then they became infinite use in gen 5.
