A 1970 Corvette

Nobody cares x2, but PS2's Anniversary Stream dropped some really neat stuff! Most importantly, PS2 is being ported to DX11 and devs are hopeful that it will increase performance considerably! According to their alpha tests it's a 20% increase in frames, but depending how things go it may be even better. The test server may be getting the first "beta" run of DX11 come December at earliest - though it may be a few months until it reaches Live. They've also announced Black Ops as a playable faction, and that is currently on the test server in its first iteration! You play as tobors, and the Black Ops faction is sort of an auto-balance. The lowest population faction will get Black Ops players in an effort to even out population and make fights more even without compromising PS2's sandbox gameplay. This feature is slated to be only for Members unfortunately but for testing purposes it's on the test server for everyone. Get hype! Or not.

Firefight was one of the selling points but ironically I never really played it because at the time I was a foreeveralone and was afraid of making randos on XBL sad so I stuck to the singleplayer and played the crap out of it (got all the audio logs and bonus caches wooooo!). I still recommend it though!! Unless you don't care for Halo 3-style gameplay because in that case maybe watching it is better. I feel like the "games that had an impact on you" thing is its own 3x3 entirely. Maybe I'll make one of those next chance I get. That would probably have a lot more variety on it, because I only really can no-life specific types of games. But I like no-lifing. Just look at my stats from the 4x XP on PlanetSide a week ago.

Everyone's explaining themselves and I'm not gonna let a chance to shout my opinions slip by My criteria for a good game is a game that I can sink hours at a time into. Pretty much all of these are except for perhaps ODST. Half-Life's modding lets me stretch out more of that delicious gameplay whenever I see something that might be fun.

The only two games I'm really playing right now are PlanetSide 2 and Breath of the Wild, so those two. Hard to think of anything else really. I guess the games I consider classics like Half-Life, Deus Ex, Halo ODST, and games that had really fun multiplayer like Halo Reach and Advanced Warfare probably count. Everything else kind of seems like nostalgic games that I probably wouldn't run through again. Maybe that still makes them favourites? I dunno.

I had a dream that I was in high school which also happened to be a part of the Black Mesa compound. It was blended with another dream where I was at a party and I apparently was pissing everyone off (maybe to try to make them leave?) I remember specifically stealing two fat redneck types' shotguns and shooting them with it. I think one of them died but the other got really mad and said that he was going to track me down and kill me. So it was weaving in between a party and a Black Mesa high school, I think in the high school parts I was trying to find a delinquent girl's tamagotchi. Eventually the entire class was moving to a different classroom and we were waiting for the Black Mesa tram system. That was of course when the resonance cascade happened and the trams started falling from the sky and squishing everyone. I remember the aforementioned fat redneck guy was either in one of them as it fell or squished by a falling tram.

So when are we getting a dissertation on this? It's kinda morbidly fascinating
