I should stop hijacking this thread to talk about 2hu and instead actually post wot i think. Obligatory Fallout 1 and 2 The hallmark of old school RPGs. Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden (full title is Tales of Game’s Studios Presents Chef Boyardee’s Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa) It's a silly, nonsensical RPG about famous NBA players and a future where basketball is banned. It's free and there's a sequel coming up. Fistful of Frags Has the strong competitive aspects of CounterStrike but free and with a higher focus on precision and positioning to achieve high killstreaks. Don't come in expecting cheap spaghetti western action. Luminous Arc It's a DS title I usually don't see thrown around when people talk about mobile RPGs. Rather than the usual copypasta job/class turn based combat system you see with Final Fantasy and such, it instead uses a grid map with each of your characters just being a piece on the board with all other enemies and allies. Turn based strategic amazingness along with a fairly interesting story. It has 2 sequels too. The World Ends With You Good story, music, and gameplay that will quite literally make you feel pain. Combat works by you multitasking on two screens, one controller by the D Pad and the other by the touch screen. Set in modern day Japan, so it's a break from the typical fantasy settings.

Doesn't help when I have no clue what game to play so that I don't rip my head off while dying

I'm still trying to figure out which game I should begin with and how the fuck I'm supposed to get it

Or you can always play Shadow Warrior Classic on Steam for free. I think there's also an HD remake that isn't the reboot/reimagining, but that might just be source engines like DOOM and Zandornum/Skulltag/whatever other ports there are

Pistol Messiah with an Akimbo build is just dumb. Unless for some reason, you aren't using a pistol as your secondary, you have no way of attacking enemies while down since you'll just waste a revive. Even with Die Hard it's still dumb since your primary is a set of pistols.

I was actually looking at the game for a bit a little while ago. There needs to be more RPGs with a focus on strategic wargaming more or less. The only times you ever really see them are in tabletops or DS releases. I can't afford it right now, but I know I'm definitely going to have to get it one day. In other news, Microsoft filed a trademark for Battletoads. inb4 Triple A Battletoads reboot

I'm still sticking with my Dual Berettas because infinite bullets in magazine. Not as tacticool as the Dual Operators, but it'll suffice. Also, I just noticed that Infamy skill point reductions apply to Fugitive no matter what Tier 2 Infamy you choose. Mastermind best OP pls nerf

A hidden village in the Silicon Valley created an underground vault of pre-war technology. In other news, I finished Sabagebu. Max Payne-esque action and other nonsensical happenings. What's not to like? Moving onto Chuunibyou because apparently I'm also missing out on something great there. From my first impressions, it's literally a huge LARP more or less.

Honestly, I just wish they added more skill points because now there's 5 trees to deal with. Or at least add another Infamy tier with another reduction in point cost.
