I'd start with standard, since you have a smaller card pool that way and the decks are easier to pilot You could look at a keyword you like (like Raid or Prowess) and try building around that, or try a monocolored deck so you don;t get overwhelmed with card choice

Otherwise Pod would;ve been banned like six times by now According to mtgtop8 (which granted uses a relatively small sample) 22% of Modern is UR delver right now.Treasure Cruise is already in 30% of the decks. Pre-DRS and BBE band, Jund was at 26% of the metagame. Legacy's BGx decks have almost completely disappeared since they can't deal with the raw card advantage Cruise gives. 38% of decks uses Treasure Cruise, it has improved several already existing decks immensely without spawning any new decks, making several decks obsolete I don't jump on the ban bandwagon very often, The only other time I really wanted to see a card go was Bloodbraid Elf. But the decks Treasure Cruise spawns just dominate the metagame since it gives agressive tempo decks a way to maintain momentum where they;d otherwise would;ve lost the game already

To go Temur you cut omenspeaker, swiftspear, titan's strength, and probably 1-2 aqueous forms and some burn to add 3-ish extra lands, 4 rattleclaw mystics, some fatties of your choice (I wouldnt go higher than cmc6) and maybe some countermagic. And of course you play a lot more dual lands. Temur is more towards control and ramp than burn so you can try and find the speed of play you prefer.
