I've had a series of dreams involving Snoop Dogg.

In the first dream: I discovered I had the power to noclip through things, so I went about the world- which was set-up like a game where the purpose was to fly through walls and find stuff- and found some neat hidden things. I got bored of that and noticed a festival, which I decided to visit. When I got there, Snoop Dogg came up to me and asked if I wanted to by some carnival food. I declined and went about my business. I found a staff that could summon lightning, but it wasn't too important. I got bored and started to leave, when I found a fish stall run by Snoop Dogg. He offered to sell me some swordfish for real cheap, which I also declined, hopped in a car, and headed home.

In the second dream: I was Jay Sherman. Straight up, cartoon Jay Sherman, and I was just chillin' at the Sherman estate when Mama Sherman brought out a book and explained that my brother was trapped inside. Cut over to my brother- a cartoon Rolph Lungdren for some reason- who's dual-wielding SMGs and shooting at monsters. I climb inside the book and it turns out it's a dream book or something like that. I find myself in a dream of a young Jay Sherman eating ice-cream. Using the power of dreams, I become a young Jay Sherman myself and steal the ice-cream, which is when Rolph Lungdren found me and we started looking for a way to escape. Cut to a few months later. I've become my regular self (picture Projared but skinnier) and Rolph became some crappy anime anti-hero. We found out that there's this huge worm that's trying to escape and destroy the universe. We find a way to defeat it, but lose the way out of the book. A few months later, crappy anime Rolph made a way out of the book, and intended to leave me behind. So I jack his ride and the driver is none other than Snoop Dogg, who turns on the radio as we ride out of the book.

In the most recent Snoop Dogg dream: I'm playing this crappy Unity 3D Jeff the Killer game for some reason. Like, so crappy Jeff was a retarded mess of blocks and cylinders, with a stupid smile and eyes slapped onto his head. Jeff's running around like an idiot, trying to be scary, and I remember this dream as one I had before. Or it was a dream where I had the first part early the same night I had the Snoop Dogg part, but it felt like I had the first part years earlier. Anyways, I remembered that I could start a boss battle by stepping on a certain bathroom tile in the house I was in. I step on the tile and a boss fight with Uboa started. He's already whoopin' my butt, but I get him down to low health before he catches fire. And you know what they say: "They can't hurt you if you're on fire." So, obviously I lose this fight four to five times and give up while Jeff runs around like a monkey in a cage. Suddenly, another player shows up. It's Snoop Dogg. He gives me some advice and we chill for a few seconds before going off to get some items: An electric fan, and a rocket launcher. We head back to fight Uboa, and once he catches fire, we use to fan to put him out, then Snoop launches a rocket into his face. This somehow manages to set the entire house we're in on fire. At this point, Jeff gets more violent and starts running around more sporadically, but he's basically harmless at this point, so me 'n Snoop Dogg decide to explore a bit and check out the "creepy" visuals before the dream ends.

I, unfortunately, don't have much to update right now.
I need to order more rings of the proper sizes to continue some of my current projects, and to start some new ones.

The problem is that ring gauges are measured in 2 different systems, the Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) and American Wire Gauge (AWG).
A ring that's 18g in SWG is a 16g in AWG, and the distinction matters because of making sure you've got the right ring sizes should they specify what system they're using.
One of the things you'll see talked about a lot in chainmaille stuff is AR, or Aspect Ratio.
Some patterns will be giving you ring measurements based on the AR of the rings used, like my Cylon weave specifies that the two rings have an AR of 7.1 and 4.2, and it's a very AR specific pattern.
You find the AR of a ring by taking it's Inner Diameter (ID) in millimeters and divide that by the ring's Wire Diameter (WD) in millimeters.
This becomes a problem when my supplier lists their rings primarily in SWG, while having their AWG measurement in smaller text, and the site I get my patterns from has all their ring sizes listed in AWG.
So when I see I need something that's 18g AWG, when I go to order, I need to buy 19g SWG.
I guess it's a good time to get all these rookie mistakes out now and not much later when I've made something of a career out of this.

So, instead, I'll show you how to make your own Helm Chain!  With pictures!
The rings I will be using are SWG 18g 9/32" for the big rings and SWG 18g 5/32" for the small rings.

First step is to make a 2-2-2 chain using 4 large rings and 2 of the small rings.
Then take 1 open large ring and weave it between both pairs of the larger rings, and around the pair of smaller rings.
I did this by holding the chain by one pair of large rings, then letting the other two fall back, then weaving the large ring through
Now put 2 small rings through the pair of large rings, then put 2 more large rings through the smaller ones.
Weave one more large ring between the large rings, but around the small rings like you did previously.
It's easier now that you've got more chain to hold on, and the previous "orbital" ring you added keeps the rings you need to go through separated.
Now just repeat this until the chain is at the desired length, add a clasp to it, and you're done.
You can now make Helm Chain.

Ugh. After numerous hours of Trial and Many Errors, I have finally managed to get a stable Half Persian 3-in-1 chain made.
This weave is particularly tricky because you cannot safely set it down or hold it in whatever way you want, as the weave isn't stable until the point I'm at now.
Moving it the wrong way, dropping it, or setting it down wrong will result in the entire thing falling apart and you'll have to start over.
It involves putting 2 closed rings into 1 open ring, closing that ring, then weaving another open ring into rings 1 and 3, but not 2, the ring you're weaving in will rest against ring 2, then you'll add 1 closed ring, and then close the open ring. You'll repeat this again until the chain is of the desired length.
The biggest issue I was having was that the rings I'm using are of a larger diameter than my other rings, so the weave is overall loose and floppy so far, but this is to accommodate the rings I will be adding to it once I've completed my chain.

This is the beginnings of a different weave I'm attempting called the Cylon weave, which starts out as a Half Persian 3-in-1 and adds other rings.

I've lengthened my Helm Chain today, I've decided to make it a necklace instead of a bracelet.
I'm now beginning my attempt at a Byzantine weave.
Nope, can't do Byz, I don't have the right rings to really do that with right now.
Instead I'm trying out a specific pattern that requires I start with a Half Persian 3-in-1 chain, and I'm cursing everything just trying to get this fucking chain started.

Here's what I mean about "closed" and "open" rings.
The rings on the top left are closed, while the rings on the top right are open.
The 3 at the bottom are what's called "raw", they aren't closed nor open, they are as-is out of the bag.
This was my first chain, a very basic 2-in-2.
Some weaves go by "(Name) X in Y" where X and Y are numbers of rings, in this case, it's that 2 rings are inside 2 rings.
I have another pattern I'm going to attempt which'll start off as part of a Half-Persian 3-in-1, so there'll be 3 rings inside 1 ring.
And this is my Helm Chain.
It's a variation of a standard 2-in-2, but you can see it's got that extra ring in the middle.
I couldn't attempt a Helm Chain with my first 2-in-2 chain because I didn't have the right aspect ratio of the two rings I was using.
It was fine for that chain, but I couldn't get the black rings to fit over the silver rings in the first chain, so I started this new one.
This is my first practice at weaving rings into a chain.

My color selection is very limited, I have another set of rings that are light blue, but my color selection will be expanding later.
So far the only troubles I've had is starting a new chain, once the chain has been started, it's a rather easy affair, but starting them is a pain in the ass.

The jam with revealing characters as LGBT+ in media is that it in all likelihood really isn't gonna seem like a big deal, or it'll seem like a big deal over a minor thing, to you if you aren't part of that demographic.  But to someone who is?  It's really nice and touching to have characters to relate to on that particular note.  And while I can't personally relate to Tracer herself what with me not being a lesbian lady, it both makes me happy that my friends who are have a character that they can say does canonically share that aspect of themself, and also gives me hope that more character's that I specifically can relate to will be written in the future.
I think the reveal itself in the comic was p well handled as far as this sorta thing goes, Tracer's actual personality as a bit of a friendly but hyperactive mess was front and center the whole time.
And as Bumscags said, the ideal would be to have it just be a normal thing without NEEDING to be a Big Cool Fancy Reveal.  But shit's not ideal.

Hey, I actually made a game. The showcase day was last friday, wasnt a triple A, or an average indie, or something that looked good, but hey, it was playable and people liked it.

Apparently I'm now a certified video game designer.

Honestly, its pretty cool to make games. I'm going to work on my drawing, modeling and animation this next year. Probably going to check how to make songs too.

Mom's getting me the rings I'll need for Christmas.
I sent her a bunch of weaves (what they call the patterns in the chainmail craft) and she's going to pick a few and grab the rings for 'em.
IT'S HAPPENING in the near future
